About Tyreek

Tyreek is a Moroccan born producer and performer currently residing in the bay area. Although it may be simple to categorize Tyreek's music as "SOUL", or "R&B", it is evident from listening to the first few minutes of his songs that his tracks pull inspiration from a more diverse collection of influences. Born and raised in the North Africa country of Morocco, Tyreek originally traveled to the U.S. to study mathematics. Once in America, he immersed himself in urban culture, having been seduced from his studies by hip hop beats and the beauty of graffiti art. This passion for music and beauty took him from Philadelphia to the Twin Cities and finally to the Bay. Tyreek's music can be described as a somnobulic journey through a downtown city at night. His yearning, half whispering falsetto combined with his meticulously crafted soul beats create a sound that is at once haunting yet funky, a sound that is unmistakably Tyreek.
