Me, napping, certain women, Star Wars, food, music, people-watching, walking, Germany (mainly the Holy Roman Empire), Japan (feudal to present), anime, manga, technology, video gaming (PC, Nintendo and Microsoft platforms - screw Sony and the PS), cooking, Gothy chicks, interesting clothes, dinosaurs, palaeontology, writing, drawing, messing around with people, trying to be funny, being extremely sarcastic, legos, weaponry of various types, preparing for zombie invasions...
Anything but emo, country, rap, bluegrass, folk... I think that covers it. I listen to either metal or Gothy electronic stuff mainly, lots of classical, real jazz (think Coltrane), lounge-y music, almost anything from the 80s, and Jpop/Jrock. Also a big fan of video game music.
Favourite artists include, but are not limited to: :wumpscut:, The Birthday Massacre, MC Chris, Psyclon Nine, REM, Blues Traveler, VNV Nation, Rammstein, Handel, Bach, Mozart, Gershwin, Benedictine Monks, Suicide Commando, Funker Vogt, Wolfsheim, Iris, And One, Depeche Mode, Ozzy Osbourn/Black Sabbath, Cradle of Filth, Type O Negative, Orgy, Nightwish, Powerman 5000, Pantera, Cruxshadows, God Module, Leaether Strip, Decoded Feedback, backandtotheleft, Neuroticfish, E Nomine, The Crystal Method, The Prodigy, Moby, Sarah McLachlan, Seabound, Aphex Twin, Phil Collins/Genesis, Disturbed, Royksopp.....
I read pretty much everything I can get my hands on in a voracious manner. I'm a big fan of Ian Fleming's James Bond series, Star Wars novels, James Clavell's Shogun, Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park and The Lost World, anything by Issac Asimov, Yamamoto Tsunetomo's Hagakure, Miyamoto Musashi's The Book of Five Rings, and many, many others...
Mister Rogers (for this very reason):
"Mister Rogers went onstage to accept the award — and there, in front of all the soap opera stars and talk show sinceratrons, in front of all the jutting man-tanned jaws and jutting saltwater bosoms, he made his small bow and said into the microphone, "All of us have special ones who have loved us into being. Would you just take, along with me, ten seconds to think of the people who have helped you become who you are. Ten seconds of silence."
And then he lifted his wrist, looked at the audience, looked at his watch, and said, 'I'll watch the time." There was, at first, a small whoop from the crowd, a giddy, strangled hiccup of laughter, as people realized that he wasn't kidding, that Mister Rogers was not some convenient eunuch, but rather a man, an authority figure who actually expected them to do what he asked. And so they did. One second, two seconds, seven seconds — and now the jaws clenched, and the bosoms heaved, and the mascara ran, and the tears fell upon the beglittered gathering like rain leaking down a crystal chandelier. And Mister Rogers finally looked up from his watch and said softly, "May God be with you," to all his vanquished children."
Bob Ross; Because he was one calm dude. We could all learn from him.
I think Chris Hanson from Dateline NBC is pretty cool guy. eh busts pedophiles and doesn't afraid of anything.
Randy Pausch, for living his life like I try to live mine - only being way better at it. Truly an inspiration. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo
Rodney Mullen, because he basically invented skateboarding as we know it. I won't ever be that good, but maybe if I keep up practicing, I won't embarrass myself next time I'm on Venice Beach.
"Men like me don't start the wars. We just die in them. We've always died in them, and we always will. We don't expect any praise for it, no parades. No one knows our names." - Jangotat
“Time's bitter flood will rise, Your beauty perish and be lost For all eyes but these eyes.” -William Butler Yeats; the greatest poet ever, in these eyes.
"Those who follow live on their knees, and those who lead will surely fall."
<"So I be written in the book of love/I do not care about that Book above/Erase my name or write it as you will/So I be written in the book of love." -Omar Khayyam
"Everyone dies. It's the final and only lasting justice. Evil exists; it is intelligence in the service of entropy. When the side of a mountain slides down to kill a village, this is not evil, for evil requires intent. Should a sentient being cause that landslide, there is evil; and requires Justice as a consequence, so that civilization can exist. There is no greater good than Justice, and only if law serves Justice is it good law. It is said correctly that law exists not for the Just but for the unjust, for the Just carry the law in their hearts, and do not need to call it from afar. I bow to no one and I give service only for cause." - Boba Fett
I am just an everyday, average, normal person. Just like you. I have no special features or prodigal talents to speak of, there is nothing extraordinary about me. I enjoy parkour, reading, working out until I every part of me aches, drawing, writing, long, thoughtful walks, people watching in a crowded place, driving at night, chocolate milk, sex, watching my dog sleep, cuddling, long naps, doing anything in the rain, LEGO, Star Wars, Republic Serials, watching a thunderstorm, MST3K, technology, tinkering with things until I break them, then attempting to fix them, making money, digging, rolling down a grassy hill, video games, Christmas, talking to people, playing psychologist, guns, traveling, learning something new, nice cars, shopping, women, long baths, history, cooking, good, live music, chopping wood, taking pictures, carpentry, being the centre of attention, being quiet and reserved, telling (good, bad, distasteful) jokes, thinking, love, biking, running until I collapse, coffee, sleeping, and more.

If the trees must, let them silently toss;
No bird is singing now, and if there is,
Be it my loss.
It will be long ere the marshes resume,
I will be long ere the earliest bird:
So close the windows and not hear the wind,
But see all wind-stirred.
