My name is Tyson Ballew. From 2001 until 2008 I played in a band called Old Shoes. It was mostly me but alot of wonderful people played other things and sang along. At some point I decided it was best to be me and Old Shoes ceased. I was also in several short lived noise/punk bands. Right now it's just me. Until I get a band together it is likely you can see me performing solo as Tyson Ballew. I am very influenced by indie rock, pop punk, d.i.y., and folk music. Somewhere in all of that you find me. I would like to think there is alot of energy in what I do. I run a label called Tummy Rock Records. Aside from all of that I have been an active part of the Montana music scene for 8 plus years. I believe everyone should be given a chance to be heard. We all have stories to tell.
I don't know if any of us are heading up or not. Have the bands been announced yet? I've got a hankerin' for some new music, but I'd like an idea of what I might be checking out first.
Yeah, Nels said he got some stuff from you. I checked with the fellers, and we can't make it out- Mat doesn't get off work till 6pm, and he can't miss any days during the summer or he gets fired. LAME.
Though we were talking about coming up in September sometime. Think that'll work?
