Rock'n'Roll Relief @ The Pub a resounding success!
On Friday February 20th 2009, TH3 were one of the many bands to lend there time & talents to the BUSHFIRE RELIEF BENEFIT, with all proceeds to go to locally effected bushfire victims... it was held at The Pub, 173 Hargreaves Street Bendigo, VIC... Headlined by Big Day Outers: Mammal!
The members & supporters of TH3 would like to congratulate & thank Gavin Fisher & all the crew & volunteers at The Pub who donated their time & efforts, both on the night & leading up to the event.
The benefit raised a whopping $9080- through door takings - all donated to Victorian Bushfire Relief through Bendigo Bank, to be administered by The Bank's Charitable arm: Community Enterprise Foundation. An awesome effort on everyone's behalf.
Well done Gav & all those who took part in making it happen on such short notice. A special "thank you" goes out to all those faithful punters who paid admission on the night & lent their support. In doing so of course, everyone had a brilliant night. With great bands from all over answering the call to provide the entertainment, the mood in The Pub that night was one which lent itself to celebrating the incredibly resilient Aussie community spirit.

Show begins at 8pm & the door charge is a mere $10- to see four of Central Victoria’s finest musical acts
100% of the proceeds from the door takings will be donated to Relay For Life

In "Tyson Hodges Trio" (aka TH3) lead-guitar maestro Tyson Hodges is accompanied by power-house drummer Colin Thompson & groove king Don Webb on bass to round out the explosive sound of this ol' school instrumental outfit.
Some of their earliest engagements saw them join Ethanol on trips to the Groove Room in Geelong's National Hotel, The Palais in Hepburn & other regional Victorian venues. They also played a jaw-dropping set at the 2002 Sunny Sedgewick Music Festival. The band have since had the pleasure of playing support to such top-line acts as Jeff Lang, Chris Wilson, Ashley Davies & The Mighty Servant, Dallas Frasca & Her Gentleman, The Fumes… not to mention the fabulous Geoff Achison & The Souldiggers whom the boys enjoyed the honour of supporting at the Corner Hotel, Richmond in 2003.
In 2005, '06 & '07 TH3 amazed onlookers at the annual Mildura Beer & Blues Festival, with their explosive combination of raw blues, beefy riffs & thundering rhythms. They've since returned to the area numerous times for engagements at The Sandbar, O'Malley's & The magnificent Mildura Brewery Theatre Bar... where they've been well recieved by warm & appreciative crowds.
The Trio have also found a home at Melbourne's Mecca of Blues & Roots Music - The St Andrews Hotel. This haven for musos & live music fans alike has allowed TH3 to play support to Geoff Achison, the legendary Max Merritt & more recently seen them become a headline act in their own right.
TH3 were featured guests at the Falmouth Festival held annually in the North East of Tasmania, where they again managed to make many new friends & further built on their existing fan-base.
TH3 have recently teamed up with rising rock duo Jackson Firebird to put on a slew of explosive shows from Mildura down to Melbourne, blowing the roof off numerous venues along the way!
TH3 are currently recording many of their shows with the end goal of compiling a live album for the many patient followers who frequently ask: "when can we get a CD of your stuff?!" Unmastered recordings of chosen songs from some of these performances can be streamed & downloaded from www.mp3.com.au/th3
On June 26th 2005 TH3 spent the day in the studio with Hans Meinig of Dingo Sound (in which they laid down 8 dynamite tracks) & plan to spend more time in the studio before beginning post production on their first album or EP! i've been wanting to see you guys for soooo long cos i saw you at the mildura brewery when the blues festival was on a couple of years ago... but now we live in geelong and im gonna be in another country when you play at beav's... i play there a lot too! but yeah.. you guys must come to geelong more... at least once after chrissy haha... should be a sick gig anyway guys... fair sure my mums goin... haha
