In the past few years, pianist, accordionist, organist and keyboardist Tyson Naylor has quickly and firmly established himself as one of Canada's finest musical talents. Naylor’s playing can be heard on a great many recordings, spanning genres from Improvised Music and Jazz to Folk. Due to his versatility and musical sensitivity he has quickly become one of the most highly sought after pianists in Canada.
Naylor has made numerous appearances at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, with artists such as Tony Wilson, Bruce Freedman, Dan Gaucher and folk-country group Headwater. He's toured throughout Canada, the northern U.S., Germany and Poland. He has played with artists such as Tobias Delius, François Houle, Joe Williamson, Keith Lowe, Jesse Zubot, Mother Mother, Ndidi Onokwulu and steel guitarist/producer Steve Dawson.
For his own quartet project, Naylor has chosen musicians all capable of providing their own unique stamp on his compositions, which greatly rely on each individual musician’s creative sensitivity. Having being as influenced by Rock and African music as much as Jazz, Naylor always strives to develop an emotional connection to his audience.
After the success of the first in our series of concerts, we are now pleased to announce the second installment. EM #2 will act as a showcase for the Miasmah label, who have been rapidly gaining fans and critical acclaim since their debut CD release in 2006. Held in the beautiful location of the Theaterkapelle in Friedrichshain, expect an evening of darkly-lit atmospheres and Lynchian soundscapes!

ooook, so the song rain just blew me away, that was fantastic. have you ever considered doing electronica? I'll talk to you about it at work, but it'd be cool if we could collaborate on something. (I'm completely capable of making calm music, my myspace page might've made you think otherwise...)
