About Unforgettable Fire --- Amazing U2 Tribute Band
Unforgettable Fire, or "UF", was born on New Years Day in 1995 as one of the first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in public. Now the longest running U2 tribute band in the United States, UF continues to play in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, forming a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent "No Line on the Horizon", the band does everything in its power to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences. In over 14 years of existence, UF has never worn wigs, or went into a studio to recreate the U2 sound experience. Everything you see and hear is as it happened, live, no studio recreations, no smoke and mirrors, and certainly no physical transformations. What you see and hear is four guys who love the music of U2, paying tribute to it in our personal way.
One of UF's last founding members from 1995, drummer George (Larry) Levesanos, still performs with the band. George is a veteran drummer on the New York City music scene and has performed in many other projects before forming UF. Joining the band in the summer of 2001 was singer Tony (Bono) Russo. Over the years, Tony has brought UF to a new level of authenticity as he is regarded as one of the country's top Bono look-a-likes/sound-a-likes. Tony even worked for U2 on the last Vertigo tour, in fact hired by U2 tour management. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top notch musicianship, experience, and stage presence to the band and has been a crucial part of the solid rhythm section ever since. Late 2004 brought Mick (Edge) Normoyle to the band to complete the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound. All four members of UF are talented musicians in their own right, but together they are committed to bring their audiences the best possible U2 show that they can deliver.

Hey gang, I'm proud to announce that I'll be acting in an independent short film directed by an old friend this coming weekend. Working title is WATCH Go to WWW.WATCHTHESHORT.COM to see what's what with that. I'll be playing the part of a cranky homeless dude who yells alot. (....stop laughing!) This cat's the next Quentin Tarantino and I'm HONORED he would ask me to be involved in his life's vision for this short feature. Wish me luck, Laird
Awesome show @ The Saloon last night. But why the hell did they make you stop playing @ midnight? I could have listened to you guys for another 3 hours.
