Dreambuilding is an initiative by UrbanArts, community arts council. In our 3rd year, our goal is to help the community of Weston relize it's full potential through the arts. We have, and will continue to consult community members about what thier vision of Weston is, we then begin to help these dreams to be relized.
Hope you can all make it to the Weston Speakers Series on August 6th!

Check out our Window Gallery at 19 John Street weekly. There are artists showing their work in the Y-Arts space window throughout the summer. The sixth show is featuring Clairandean Humphrey.
Clairandean Humphrey first got involved with UrbanArts through the Graffiti Transformation Project as the Assistant Co-ordinator in 2003. Last summer she put her video work into practice as the UrbanArts Videographer.
Clairandean is currently leading the painting of a mural on the side of a building at the corner of Eglinton and Weston Rd in Mount Dennis. She is also completing a degree in Fine Arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design. A picture will soon be uploaded, but until then, walk on by 19 John in Weston!
We are transforming the exterior planters in front of the GO Train parking lot into mosaics. We have started working with kids and hope to get everyone of all ages helping out at the Weston Farmers' Market. Come and participate! Please e-mail den@urbanartstoronto.com for more info.
CULTURE SHOCK, an arts and culture fest around Weston Rd and Lawrence is to be held on August 11th at 1pm. Location still to be announced. To book an act or for more info contact Memo at memo@urbanartstoronto.com.
Our exciting summer is just beginning! We need your help to make it all that it can be. Please forward this message far and wide!
