In the world of the blues, the phrase "Keeping the blues alive", gets tossed around as often as "Woke up this morning", or, "My baby done left me". But The UBD is one of the few acts putting their money where there mouth is. This is a young band, whose members have listened to just as much Pink Floyd and Rage Against the Machine as they have Paul Butterfield or Robert Johnson, and are NOT afraid to let those influences show. Don't be mistaken though. From the first note that pours out of front man, Nathan Keck's guitar, The UBD's knowledge, love, and respect for the blues is apparent. The comparisons are unavoidable. "The next Stevie Ray Vaughan", "The white Jimi Hendrix". But there is more going on here. This is blues for OUR times. This is blues for people who never thought they liked the blues. The world has changed and The UBD is changing the blues with it, after all, isn't that really the only way to "Keep the blues alive"! .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... ...... .......... .. .. .. .. .. -
