As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
Great Release, my favourite one is DK Style (Bottin - Bear Funk, Eskimo)
OUR VAMPIREROBOT IS BACK WITH HIS RETROSTYLISHDISCO, THX FOR YOUR 80s&90s PIZZICO-GROOVE, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER! I-ROBOTS APPROVED...!!! (I-Robots - Opilec, Relish, Boys Noize)
Loving The Sound! (Ichisan - Eskimo, Airtight, Solardisco)
THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT ONE - Check out NAPOLEON IIIrd @ myspace.com/boney3
"One of the most visionary artists in the world today." - Drowned In Sound
Puts so much heart and soul into every verse, chorus and middle eight that you need a defibrillator... this is not merely an excellent record, it's a manifesto." - Artrocker
This is the first set from the slightly tweaked Beach Fuzz line-up with Fliss Horrocks now playing guitar alongside Tom Settle and Nick Mitchell. Seven tracks of clattering drums, chugging and wailing guitars, screaming keyboards, mellow, lilting pastoral improv and moaned vocals.

ORGONE ACCUMULATORS - GOOD ADVICE & WILHELM REICH AND ROLL double EP CDr Sultans of Swing Records no.15 £3ppd
Orgone Accumulators finally reach the physical realm. Sultans Of Swing Records have put both Orgone Accumulators 'virtual' EPs onto a nicely packaged CDr. 3 different kinds of handmade card/paper including one made out of recycled beer bottle labels and a printed CD showing the relationship between Sirius and the Dogon tribe and extraterrestrial communications.
It's 8 tracks of surf/techno themed around ancient astronauts although one of them is a cover of The Ventures version of Walk Don't Run. Think Man Or Astroman, Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet or The Residents playing around an 808. For fans of outer space and the future and sci fi gubbins.
It's available for free download or streaming at http://www.orgoneaccumulators.co.uk or you can send £3 via paypal to sultansofswingrecords AT fastmail DOT fm to get this CDr version.
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
Hey hope your summer is going great. We are trying to raise funds to record our next album in Spring of 2010 and we need your help. If every single friend of ours on Myspace spends only $2 and buys two of our songs on iTunes, not only will we be able to record a new cd for you next year but we will also be able to tour again and bring our music closer to you. :) Thanks again for your support remember our fans are number one and we always comment back personally so drop us a line and tell us how you're doing.
