Crisis Intervention
Advocates are available 24 hours a day to assist victims by phone, or to respond to the scene of a crime. To contact an advocate after hours call (407) 823-5555, please give your first name and a phone number where the advocate can contact you. Advocates can provide crisis counseling and emotional support along with other resources as needed.
Information and Referral
Advocates can help victims explore their rights and options and provide information about the civil, university, and criminal justice systems so that victims can make informed decisions about what is best for them. Advocates can also provide referrals to both on and off campus resources.
Practical Assistance and Advocacy
Advocates can act as a liaison to professors, families, employers, landlords, creditors, and other community service providers with a signed release from the client. They can provide assistance when filing for injunctions for protection. Advocates can also transport clients to the courthouse for filing injunctions for protection, and follow up court appearances, as well as other practical assistance related to the victimization.
Victim Services is the UCF student's resource for information about victimization, victim advocacy, and support for those who have been victimized.

Market Day Tables
September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th
Every Wednesday during September from 9 am - 2 pm, UCF Victim Services will be outside the Student Union on the front patio providing information, answering questions, playing games, and giving away free goodies.
Intern/Volunteer Open House
September 23rd
Are you interested in doing an internship or volunteering for a great organization? If so, please stop by the Victim Services office located at 12201 Research Parkway, Suite 450, on September 23rd from 4 pm - 6 pm to find out more information on Victim Services, the intern/volunteer experience, meet the staff, and ask questions to current interns/volunteers.
The Clothesline Project
October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th
The Clothesline Project provides a way to raise awareness in the community about issues of victimization. Survivors of victimization can design a t-shirt that will be displayed inside the Student Union for the entire month of October. UCF Victim Services will have a table outside the Union every Wednesday during October from 9 am - 2 pm where students, staff, and faculty can come and design a t-shirt.
Light Up the Night: Dating/Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil
October 5th
Light Up The Night is a vigil with a twist. Bring your cell phones and use it’s light to
honor those affected by dating and domestic violence. There will be guest speakers,
survivor stories, and a performance by a live band. This event will take place from
6:00pm – 9:00pm in front of the UCF Reflection Pond and Millican Hall.
Community Health & Wellness Fair
October 22nd
On October 22nd from 10:00am– 4:00pm, inside the Cape Florida Ballroom, UCF Victim Services, the Office of Diversity Initiatives and Disability Services will be presenting a fair to bring awareness and education to the entire UCF community. There will be informational tables, entertainment, prizes, and a self-defense workshop. This is an Ultimate Knights event worth 2000 Link Loot points!
