How to: Access Library Databases Off Campus
1. From the library’s website at http://library.uco.edu, click on Search Databases or Search Catalogs.
2. Click on the desired database. A login screen will appear (except when using the UCO Library Catalog).
3. Type in your UCONNECT user name and PIN # in the appropriate boxes. Your User Name is your first initial
and last name, all in lower case letters without spaces (Example: Jane Student’s UCONNECT ID is jstudent).
Your default PIN is your birth date in 6 digits (Example: Jane Student’s birthdate, June 17th, 1984 is 061784).
If you’ve logged into UCONNECT before and changed your PIN, use your current PIN rather than the default.
If you DO NOT Login Successfully:
1. You may have a User Name/PIN error. Try again, checking spelling and PIN. Remember to use your 6-digit
PIN#, NOT your Banner ID or Social Security Number.
2. If you share the same first initial/last name combination with someone else on campus, your User Name may
have a number after it (Example: jstudent2). Go to http:/uconnect.ucok.edu to look up your user name.
3. If you still cannot login, you may need to have your PIN number reset. Contact the UCO campus IT department
at 974-2255, or go to one of the computer labs on campus to have your PIN reset. Be sure you have your
student ID with you for identification.
4. Call the library reference desk at 974-2878 for further assistance with remote access to the databases.
Who I'd like to meet: UCO students, faculty, staff, and friends! Anyone interested in libraries (especially academic ones) and those interested in Edmond and Oklahoma!
