The Armenian Student Association promotes cultural diversity on campus. In addition to educating student, we provide a social outlet as well as a support group for those Armenian and non-Armenian descents. We put these goals in practice by hosting on and off campus cultural events and holding regular meetings.
The main purposes of UCR’s Armenian Student Association are:
• To advance purposes of UCR’s Armenian culture, heritage, and history through enriching activities arranged by the organization
• To bring together a vast majority of Armenians to form a strong cultural representation on campus, in the community, as well as the surrounding institutions
• To sustain connections and keep up with current as well as historic accounts and dilemmas concurring the Armenian community
• To work with full cooperation and support other Armenian Student Associations and Armenian establishments

As you all know, we have our second ASA general meeting tuesday, and we have an important guest speaker coming down from Irvine to give us a presentation. He is the priest at the Riverside Armenian Apostolic Church and he also has a PHD in Engineering. We need most of our members to come please so as we can show him respect for driving such a far distance. The meeting will begin at 5:45.. at engineering 2 room 142. See you guys there!

We are looking for a new design for our t-shirts this year! If you'd like to help, please let me know in advance. I would like to have the designs by the next general meeting, which will be on TUESDAY OCT. 30, 2007, so that we can vote on the designs. The WINNER will get a discount on their membership fee. Everyone should come with ideas, even if you dont have a ready made design!!
Rules: *We can have something on the front and the back of the t-shirt. (don't be afraid to be creative) *It would be nice to include our ASA logo somewhere on the shirt. *Try to keep it related to our culture.
