About me: We’ve come a long way from the Urban Cowboy dance era which can be credited with the start up of many country dance clubs, increase in social dancing, and ultimately the growth or many country western dance events. When the fad died down many clubs continued to teach country western dance, including couples and line dancing. The UCWDC® came along and raised the standard for country western dancing through competition. Competition has had an impact on country western dancing throughout the world.
The UCWDC has a membership of over 50 sanctioned events in 15 countries, plus an annual World Championship. The UCWDC® represents thousands of dancers of every level and ability, from first time beginners to world class professionals. The UCWDC® continues to expand on an international level. Social and recreational dancers, competitors, dance enthusiasts, seek out UCWDC® events because of the high quality and uniform standards they represent. The annual Worlds event culminates a year long effort where thousands of competitors meet and go head-to-head for World titles. The UCWDC® is promoting Country Western Dance as a “Dance Sport” well on its way to equal Swing and Ballroom.

Hey, couples, has anyone figured out a way to use two wireless bluetooth headphones with one Ipod? Can you say, "Practice on a busy studio dance floor"?
Thanks for the add! You have really done a great job with this page. It's both entertaining and informative and obviously you've worked hard to put it together. I look forward to coming back often. Keep dancin'!
Hey there, happy St. Patty's Day! Does anyone know how to contact the Glosters, a Diamond Showcase couple? My partner Don and I want to know where they're competing this year so we can join them. But we can't find their e-mails. Thanks much!
