BIOgraphy
Hi, I'm Udhara de Silva, and I'm a 19 year old Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Designer/Photographer/Treehugger from Sydney, Australia.
After producing several songs for some very talented singers I'm finally working on my first solo project. The first song off the album is "Aeroplane" (the demo version is up on my playlist).
My number one passion is music and I'm hoping to make this a full time job someday. I listen to everything from Jazz to African Drum beats to Alternative Rock to Reggae to Classical. And I've tried to incorporate elements of all the music I listen to into my own songs.
I've been producing music since I was around 8 (with my little sister, we still have the first demo tape we ever made back in '99 lol).
I play Piano, a bit of Guitar, (just) getting into Drums and make most of my music using Reason and Logic Pro. I love live sounds though, so whenever I can I record real sounds (like piano riffs, guitar parts, and even Sri Lankan tribal drums).
I also produce music, music videos, design websites and graphics, direct photoshoots and design t-shirts for other musicians/artists (www.desilvaproductions.com), mostly thanks to me studying Digital Media at UNSW here in Sydney (1.5 years to go!).
I love animals. I'm vegetarian because of them (don't laugh). I have a cat called LeToya who is the LoveChild of Yoda and Mogwai from the Gremlins.
