Originally cutting my teeth at the Cuban Club in the late 80's helping bands like D.R.I., The Dead Kennedys, GWAR etc setup lights, wires etc and then spinning Punk and Metal records in between sets once in awhile. It was also a way to meet my favorite bands and I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time in many instances. Word eventually spread about the local Kid who spun Rock and Alternative music when everyone else was spinning Dance music.
Eventually I had made regular appearances at many local band venues and by the 90's was well on my way in the Dj circuit while also playing guitar or synths in different bands during that time. In the early 2000's the Punk scene had dwindled down due to lack of venues and I embarked on places like Ybor City and Tampa Bays Dark side and getting more involved in the Goth/Industrial music and Dj scene.
The electronic Dance scene had embraced me and I was involved in many Raves and small club outings and private party gigs around the state. I eventually landed a serious gig at The Downtown Lounge in New Port Richey's Downtown section. I was the one who successfully spun the DTL into the national "in club" status and was able to give the areas top Goth Club a run for it's money. After a 3 year run at the club branched out to create Hernando counties first successful Monday night goth night called Progression at the saints & Sinners Lounge now Bar Envy. It was a short run that got railroaded by back stabbers of the scene who eventually like clubs I left ran the night into extinction. One true fact is not one Pasco Dj had or has ever held a longer running Industrial or Alternative in Pasco or Hernando counties although many that came after will claim they had. facts are facts and even today some two decades later still bring the best in those music genres daily on Radio Chaos Tampa entering it's 7th year online.
