...the same dissatisfaction/quest for decency that has us strolling the wilderness in search of spiritual hoovering, a valet for the soul. If you listen carefully you can hear the atmospherics, the wild track of a night in mid july before haircuts could be famous.
Mark Cooper writes songs for the Uffmoor Woods Music Club, a cabal of musically endowed friends and fiends in and around Birmingham. After conception these songs are taken to the hills and tested in jam sessions over a campfire, between many an eerie tale. When it comes to recording, the UWMC use keyboards, accordians, violins, mandolins, computers, harmonicas and pianos as well as guitars and drums.
Right now, we're recording the album Love in the Time of Cannibals... which can be described as freakfolk, occasionally punk, and generally as Pavement with laptops, watching The Evil Dead.
