Forrest is gonna demoralize Tito and Tito is gonna look for a way out of the fight. Tito is gonna try to take him down and ground and pound him like his old self, but i feel it wont work, he hasnt been in the ring in over a year, there will be plenty of ring rust on Titos part. Look for a lot of leg kicks from Griffin to keep Tito's takedowns at bay. Forrest is out to prove himself after the embarrasing loss from Anderson Silva. It will be an exciting fight but Griffin has WAY too much heart to lose this one. Josh and Anthonys fight will be a slug fest ending with Josh's hand raised by TKO if not KO, in the second round. I say TKO because they will make it past the first round but Anthony will be tired from throwing punches the whole first round and Josh will easily take him down and pound him out. Im really looking forward to the fights, as always! Hopefully im right, but who knows its the UFC and anything can happen with one mistake on either part.

I hope Tito gets his ass kicked. Funny story, I used to date a girl that is related to him. As soon as she told me I made fun of her for it every chance I could.

It requires the wrestler to take a top eight placing at the 2011 World Championships, win their continental championship -- for GSP, it would be the Pan-American Championships -- or win one of the two qualifying tournaments. How hard is that? Only one country, Russia, qualified wrestlers in every weight class for Beijing. Out of eighteen weight classes, Canada qualified ten of them in 2008.

Making Canada's team is also a time-intensive feat. GSP would need to start with the Canadian national championships in 2011 to become part of the ladder of competitors for the Olympic Trials. After that, GSP would need to win the Canadian Olympic Trials, usually held in December of the year before the Olympics. This would tie up GSP for more than a year.

Still, Gentry isn't going to look past St. Pierre if he does try for the Olympics.

"He's a competitor, I'm sure that he'll be tough to beat, no matter what he's competing in."

Georges St. Pierre said he's going to try to wrestle for Canada in 2012. Competing for your country in the Olympics is an amazing feat, and a worthy goal for a competitor like St. Pierre. There is one problem, though. Canada is already pretty well stocked with wrestlers at 74 kg (163 lbs.), the weight GSP would likely compete at.

Matt Gentry, an NCAA champion for Stanford University, represented Canada at the 2008 Olympics at 74 kg. Now an assistant coach at Stanford, Gentry plans to try for the Olympics again in 2012. He points out that having GSP in the mix could strengthen Canada's delegation, but it isn't easy to get there.

"Evan McDonald is the number one guy in Canada at that weight. If St. Pierre comes in, there's going to be a lot of depth at that weight," Gentry told Cagewriter. "That kind of depth is only going to make our country better. It will make the representative who ends up competing more tested, and they'll have to work harder to earn that spot, which will pay off in the long run."

McDonald wrestled for Canada in the world championships this past September. If GSP were to try to wrestle in the Olympics, he would need to get through both Gentry and McDonald. With such little freestyle wrestling experience, it could be difficult.

"He does have good takedowns, he does have good blast doubles, but it's hard to make the comparison," Gentry said. "But [MMA fighters] stand upright. I've seen those blast doubles, and he's certainly a horse in terms of conditioning, but it is pretty different. It's such a technical sport."

Yes, St. Pierre is very adept at using wrestling during fights. However, there is a huge difference between taking down a striker like Thiago Alves at will and trying to do the same against Buvaisar Saitiev, the Russian gold medalist at GSP's weight class and one of the most dominant wrestlers of the past decade.

Just qualifying your country's weight class for the Olympics is a difficult feat. It requires the wres

I think Forrest Griffin will win by decision, split, or unanimous, not because Tito sucks, just because hes been away from the cage for like over a year. And Kos will beat Rumble Johnson by decision, split or unanimous, or someone is gonna get knocked out.
  • Nov 16 2009 8:51 PM

Just give me the dang stuff Chabasco....:) Have fun with that 50 cal...wish I was there ;)
  • Nov 16 2009 8:30 PM

i think titos gonna take it via tko 2nd round. forest is a great fighter but i just dont see him beating a 100% tito. the rest of the card looks really good alot of big names kos, baroni, parysian, kendall grove...etc. cant wait this should be one to remember.
  • Nov 16 2009 8:24 PM

Kos has this fight hands down. As far as Tito's fight goes, it will be very interesting to see where he is in his game. All the fights will be well worth watching no matter what!

  • Nov 16 2009 7:50 PM

I got Tito putting Forrest back into his depression and KOS beating Rumble
  • Nov 16 2009 7:24 PM

let me win some shit chabasco.

    gimmie something!!!

    well lets go.
i think tito is gonna win. forrest has been exposed 2 times and i think he will finally have the nail put in his coffen with this loss tito ortiz and his wrestling
  • Nov 16 2009 7:21 PM

Let me break this down for you. I believe Tito is doing better then he ever has in his training but i still dont think hes going to take down griffin. Yes Griffin has that vicious knockout by silvain his head but i think he has more potential in wanting to redeem himself by knockout out Tito, this fight will not got to decision, this fight will finish with a W on Griffin's Record.

So the Kos and Rumble fight, im not sure how to brake this one down, there both very good fighters with KO power i think Kos will take it though. So im going with Kos. As well with a finish, not sure what round though.
  • Nov 16 2009 7:21 PM

I'm fuckin stoked to see Tito back in the octagon....we needed him back, not enough cocky shit talkin, certified bad ass motherfuckers makin their presents known!!!! And sorry to all the KOS fans but I really don't see him getting a W off this fight, if he does he's gonna take a beating from hell in the mean time!
  • Nov 16 2009 7:11 PM

what up its team fatal, all our support wil go to our bad boy tito ortiz....this time it will end with a ground and pound referee stoppage..............go TITO!!!!!
  • Nov 16 2009 7:04 PM

    Brown + Wilks = FOTN IMNSHO !!!!
  • Nov 16 2009 7:00 PM

Here's my analysis on the fight, Forrest gets raped. Nuff said.
After seeing the MOST EMBARRASSING KO IN HISTORY from Anderson Silva and seeing him storm out of the ring like a total pussy wussy bitch girl, I've lost any and all respect for Griffin.

With that being said, both fighters have continued to improve on their stand up and ground game. However judging from the past few fights that I've watched from Griffin I'm just not impressed. I think Griffin will start to lose the fight and then quit like a fucking pussy then run away with a towel over his face.

    Tito via SUBMISSION 2nd round
  • Nov 16 2009 6:56 PM

ortiz use to be on top his game but real talk griffin hunggry right now hes gonna beat on that ass like brock did mir on thier second fight thats real talk

UFC 106 TITO ORTIZ VS FORREST GRIFFIN. (KOS VS. RUMBLE) I THINK THAT THESE WILL BE SOME GOOD FIGHTS. RUMBLE VS KOS IS GOING TO BE A GOOD FIGHT. KOS HAS TO TAKE HIM DOWN HE CAN'T AFFORD TO GET HIT BY RUMBLES HAYMAKERS. IF HE WANTS TO WIN HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE HIM DOWN AND KEEP HIM THERE WEARING HIM OUT. IF HE DOES THEN KOS WINS. IF RUMBLE KEEPS THE FIGHT STANDING UP HE IS GOING TO DO SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE, AND PROBABLY KO KOS. I THINK THAT KOS WILL TAKE IT TO THE GROUND AND WEAR HIM OUT THE GROUND AND POUND FOR THE TKO. TITO IS ALWAYS FUN TO WATCH (EITHER YOU HATE HIM OR YOU LOVE HIM) HE ISN'T THE BEST ANYMORE BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE CAN'T PUT ON A GOOD SHOW. I THINK THAT HIM AND FORREST HAD A DAMN GOOD FIGHT LAST TIME. I ALSO THINK THAT THIS FIGHT WILL BE GOOD TOO. THEY KNOW HOW EACH OTHER FIGHTS FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE. I THINK THAT THE SURGERY FOR ORTIZ'S BACK SHOULD HELP HIM. WHAT I BELIEVE WILL HAPPEN IS TITO WILL TAKE FORREST DOWN (WHAT A SURPRISE), AND HE WILL GROUND AND POUND HIM RELENTLESSLY. FORREST WILL GET OVERWHELMED BY THE ELBOWS FROM THE GUARD. TITO WILL MAKE FORREST WORK HIS ASS OFF TO GET UP, CAUSING HIM TO TIRE HIMSELF OUT. WHEN FORREST IS TOO TIRED TITO WILL GO IN FOR THE KILL. IT WILL BE A TKO (HOPEFULLY ONE THAT IS THE RIGHT CALL UNLIKE ROTHWELL VS VELASQUEZ) AND IF NOT TITO WILL TAP HIM OUT IN THE LATE 2ND ROUND OR EARLY THIRD. TITO HAS BEEN WORKING ON HIS SUBMISSIONS WHICH IS GOOD ON HIS BEHALF. EITHER WAY LOOK FOR THE WRESTLERS TO DOMINATE LIKE IN THE PAST.
