This record came out on cd in 2004 for The Music Cartel and, cause of the failure of the label, never got the visibility deserved. We're trying to give some justice to a record we consider very important and seminal.
It'll be out in a very limited version of 400 pieces in black 180gr double vinyl and in one of 100 limited edition on transparent vinyls.

UFOMAMMUT - IDOLUM
"IDOLUM" is the title of the new album of Ufomammut.
Recorded in Milano at Magnolia studio and mixed and mastered at Locomotore Studio in Roma, the album proudly features Lorenzo Stecconi as SoundLord.
IDOLUM is a new chapter in the sonic adventure of Ufomammut, presenting a sensible evolution in the sound and in the structure of the songs:dark atmospheres, simple and mastodontic song frameworks, a different idea of psichedelic rock.
"Idolum" is a latin word meaning "ghost" and "idea" at the same time, representing the massive and hidden presence as the main concepts of the album.
Rose Kemp astonishing voice will be guest in "Ammonia" while Lorenzer of Lento has provided powerful sonic waves on "Elephantom" with his six strings.

One Summer night in the Vortex (also known as Hollywood) in 2004 I had the most intense vision/cinematic experience while listening to your music. Thing is, I didn't know it was your music. My friend had been playing records and I hadn't heard of you guys yet. The vision was of an amphibious creature that came home to his wife. They lived in a mushroom type house. They were happy. He wore a crown. I told my friend about my experience after. He then told me the name of the album. .....I saw the SNAILKING and his Queen. God I miss those days. ∞

I'd forgotten about your band for a while there until seeing some posters for Roadburn in magazines... What a mistake! Hope Supernaturalcat's got good distribution, any chance of finding your albums in Australia?
I finally got around to posting new tracks as well, they're nowhere near as heavy as yours but I've always tried to write songs that convey similar vibes to sludge & doom metal.
