Urban Freeflow was created in june 2007 by two Newcastle MC's - Nhostic n Morphonics and were soon joined by a local D.J. and good friend DJ N'taprize. Drawing upon many musical influences and styles to create their music, Urban Freeflow brings a new texture and sound to the hiphop scene, as we'll as concistently delivering a dynamic and energetic performance.
Constructing their own beats and melodies, Urban Freeflow also lyrically state a diverse message touching on many subjects from urban situations and party tracks, to culture commentary's, politics, and other injustices in the system.
Urban Freeflow has also had the privilage of sharing the stage with many artists including local crews such as the Nameless Crew, Blades of Hades, Mojo's Lab, Soul Purpose Bric n Brac, Dhopec, Tycotic, Xrzize, and national crews such as Urthboy, Hyjack & Torture, Mind Over Matter, A-Love, Nikkitta, and The Tounge, with more to come.
Urban Freeflow have rocked the house at the Newcastle Brewery, the Maitland Brewery, Cambridge, CBD, Great Northern, Iron Horse, Croation Club, Lass O'Garry, and were fortunate enough to be nominated for best hip hop track, best young talent and play at the 2008 Newcastle ABC Music Awards at the Civic Theatre.
