What is VSO?
Started over 30 years ago, the Vietnamese Student Organization formed to bring together students from various backgrounds for a combination of academic and social success. VSO is devoted to promoting and educating the campus as well as the community about the Vietnamese culture and the Vietnamese people. Through events such as pageants and cultural presentations and shows, VSO hopes to provide the community and members with valuable information that will give them a better understanding of the Vietnamese culture and norms. VSO provides a wonderful opportunity to meet people of diverse backgrounds which helps establish long lasting relationships.
Who is in VSO?
VSO is comprised of anyone and everyone who is interested in the Vietnamese Culture and in meeting new people. Everyone is welcome to join the VSO family!!!
What Does VSO DO?
VSO does many on & off campus activities. We play intramural sports such as 7 on 7 flag football, volleyball, soccer and basketball. And we also host fundraisers such as our famous Pho Fundraiser twice a year to fund Tet Trung Thu in the fall and Tet Celebration in the spring. Outside of cultural events we have many social events & an active big brother big sister (Anh Chi Em) program. Serving the community & cultivating leadership are priority to the VSO family.
