About me:
The name Ugly Betty originates from the slang word "Betty" meaning "babe," or a very good-looking woman associated with a particular group. ie: Skate Betties, women who skateboard and hang out with a skater crowd; Surf Betties, Ski Betties and, of course, Film Betties. Ugly Betty is a contradiction in terms, that nothing is completely ugly nor completely beautiful.
Our vision is to work with talented filmmakers to produce marketable, entertaining and stimulating independent films.
Ugly Betty Productions, Inc is comprised of two founding partners, producer, Amanda Doss and Director, Bo Mehrad.
Our films include the shorts Ping Pong Love and Thirsty as well as commercials and music videos.
