About me:
Hey it's the Ugly Mug Coffee House!
11425 Rainier Ave S Seattle, WA 98178
Weekly Jazz Jams Sunday 7-9:30pm,
plus spoken word/street poetry every second Saturday of the month!
We're bringing back the cool jazz coffee joint where friends and musicians can hang out, jam, and chat just like back in the The Day!
Feb 08 Schedule:
Sundays: Jazz Jams - 3rd and 17th hosted by Yogi McCaw
10th and 24th - Hosted by Mike Yasutake
Mondays: Yogi's open rehearsal - The Yoginis and other projects
Sat Feb 8th: Spoken word/Poetry Open Mic night!
We've been drawing many good horn players and singers from the Seattle area. The coffee, teas, and sandwiches are excellent and reasonably priced. Read our reviews on

The Sunday jams are led by sax man/educator Mike Yasutake, and keys man Yogi McCaw on alternate Sundays. Contrabassist Burt Boice usually holds the bass end down.
