I've been through a lot of crap and feel like I've lived ten lives, but as my father always said, "What doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger".




I've learned over the past several years that life is too short and fragile to live a miserable existence. I don't know how people do it.....they spend their days in a miserable job, in a miserable relationship, in a miserable place...for what? Money? Power? Obligation? It's not worth it to me. Life is too short to merely exist. I want to live. And I don't want my life to be in vain. I have to take the lemons I've been given and make lemonade out of them. I have to find a purpose in this world. I have to belong somewhere. I have to be somebody.

What is it going to take to make this happen? It is a mystery that I must solve. The door is locked, but somewhere among all of the obstacles and hindrances, there is a key. There has to be. If I have to spend my entire life looking for it, that is what I will do. I will not choose to settle for mere existence, to have regrets when I find myself at death's door. I want to look back on my life and be able to say that I not only ran the race, but crossed the finish line with a content heart, knowing that I made every effort to live. ~Kelli © 2007

I am a thinker, writer, painter, dreamer, and insomniac. I'm 30-something and happily divorced. I'm an unpublished writer from the Hurricane Katrina-battered MS Gulf Coast. I left the corporate world to teach people how to paint like Bob Ross. I try to be everyone's friend. I'm broke, chronically ill, and old before my time. I am blessed despite my circumstances. I am honest, and made the decision years ago to put myself and my life out there for the world to read. So far, I don't regret it.

Very loudly and obnoxiously in my car - I often wonder what people think when they see me singing, but I don't suppose it matters

Depends on what those feelings are...I'm pretty open most of the time, and wear my heart on my sleeve

Is there something you regret and wish you could take back?
Yep, all of my regrets involve relationships, which is why I chose to retire from them

Certified Office Administrator, Certified Access Forms Designer, Certified Ross Instructor

College plans?
I am currently at a Mississippi community college and hope to complete my art degree in the next few years.

Retirement plans?
If I make it to retirement in one piece and have enough money to live on, I'll be a happy camper. If I have the means to do whatever I want, I'll travel, take pictures, write, and paint happy trees until the day I die.

Ever had surgery?
Yep - oral, abdominal, major knee/leg, and two kidney stone related procedures

Do you tend to rip the paper off water bottles?
If I'm nervous

How long does it take for you to fall asleep at night?
A very long time...usually several hours, if I sleep at all

What's the funniest name you've ever been called?
It's a duel between being called wicked while in Florida and my cousin calling me a ninja. I think the ninja wins (they always do, you know). :-)

What are you looking forward to in the next few months?
Learning how to draw, and hosting a couple of charity events.

Uhhhh. Define "have"....

Money...just money. I'm drowning in hospital bills.

It's going gray but I'll live...I have more important things to worry about

Bob Ross in the DVD player AND the VCR

If money was no object - New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Four brothers, two sisters, one stepbrother, one stepsister

What kind of car do you drive?
1995 Ford Taurus Wagon...the better to hold all of my art supplies and other random crap...I live like a gypsy.

How many TRUE best friends do you have?
I have a handful of true best friends, and I'm grateful to have them. I wish they lived closer to me.

What is the sappiest, most romantic love song you know?
Most definitely "You Come To My Senses" by Chicago. Every time I listen to it I'm like WOW, that's even too sappy for ME! Great song.

Put on my oh so cool Eeyore jammies

Of course! I would go to the ends of the earth, because I'm cool like that.

I always said it would be Summer Rose, but I wouldn't really change it.

Does a certain smell remind you of anyone or anything?
The smell of cinnamon rolls reminds me of how much I miss eating cinnamon rolls...haaaaaaa!

Nope! People keep telling me to pucker up my lips and blow, but it doesn't work!

Hershey's Kisses, but I can't have them anymore *sniffles*

This question is funny...am I CRUSHING anyone? As in what...SITTING on them? Ha! Ok I know what it means...no I don't have a crush on anyone.

At a friend's house...I was apparently on Candid Camera! :D

Did you have a dream last night?
I almost always do, and they are usually bad dreams. That’s getting very old, for the record.
