Who am I? That's a line right out of Zoolander and though I spell Derek a little different, I guess that's what I'm supposed to provide here. Wait, is this like a personal mission statement? I'm an East Coast transplant who ended up in Colorado on my own volition. I'm a racer and enjoy adventure races, tris, biking, and even some running. I'm a business owner with service lines in real estate brokerage, investment consulting, and portfolio management. I love to travel all over the world, have lived overseas, do anything outdoors, take on new challenges, and experience new things.

.. See me at the Moab XStream Expedition Race between :40-:28 of this clip..
Interesting and other crazy people who enjoy adventure racing, road and mountain biking, backcountry, and triathlons. Also, people who don't believe in the world "can't." Check out my profile on Facebook as well.
hey runner boy...haven't talked much since our run...LAST YEAR! Things are well here-training for Ironman WI--getting back into running-had some knee issues but getting better. We will have to meet up for a run/ride sometime soon. I am going to ride out to lookout on sat morning if you want to join...or meet me there for a climb. How are things with you? and your training? You going to do IM this year or do that long race? hope all is well! :)
It was definitely a gorgeous day along the water! I haven't gotten outside lately, but I'm keeping my eye on Saturday for some riding - sunny and high of 50 - that'll feel like a summer day compared to what we've been having! =)
I went to keystone on friday when they opened up North Peak their 2nd mt...Vail on Sat when they opened their back bowls and Blue sky and Sun Vail agin for another 10 in powder day! It was off the hook...I would say my best SKI WEEKEND ever!!! It was sick!
So I fig out what the knee issue was...my IT band is a rock...I now have to do exercises where I roll my leg on this contraption...should be back to normal in no time...then maybe I will be able to keep up with you speedy! ;) have a good weekend
Nice job big guy, just read the blog. Very impressive. Maybe we can figure out a plan and I can turn off at the half way point in the spring and cheer you on at the end. You can be my motivation for a sub 2.
So how did the marathon go?? I didn't make it to the cliff shot area...I accidently set my alarm for pm instead of am...the weather totally sucked...talk about two extremes--100 degree weather for me and 40 degree and raining for you...i'm sure you still did awesome though! congrads!
It's not like did it on purpose! I was filming while hanging off a train engine in motion, and flying cinders melted holes in my polypro shirt. I have some weird-looking burns on my back. You know you want my job.
Are you psyched about your race this weekend? After you 3-day insanity race, this should be easy for you! :) I'm psyched about the FoCo (not so) Urban Assault Race! My partner and I should kick butt (well, maybe). :) I think we plan to stop at red lights, so maybe not. :) Hey, do you still have your answers to the pre-race questionaire that I could use in case they are the same questions? :) Hope you're doing well!
Nope, no pants yet. For some reason that site didn't like me the other day. I need the pants! Just froze through an all-day shoot. It was cold, but I burned holes in my shirt. Part of the dangerous life I lead. Go figure.
We are headed to AZ - Show Low to be exact for Blaine is racing once again. Then we will be traveling back probably via Grand Canyon, Durango, and returning sometime next week or the week after if the RV is good to us. What about you?
Hey, stalker-boy, how did you find me? I just watched your IronMan video and felt like the world's biggest wuss. Ok, ok, this is where I stop whining. I'm talking to my friends about doing mini-races for ourselves to train. You're still on board to run publicity, right?
