Hi I'm Isa. I teach Psychology full time but like to write in my spare time. I've had poems published over the years (see 'interests' section for a link to my poems on the writers' cafe web site.

My first novel, 'THE RIDGE', IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE from www.authorhouse.co.uk and www.authorhouse.com. It is also available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble (See 'interests' section for link to my web site which will direct you to all available outlets.

THE RIDGE is a fantasy novel, set during the Crusades, where the worlds of the humans and the jinn collide.

I am married and, between us, we have six children (3 boys; 3 girls).

I love music of all types, but I am a passionate rockster - Progressive Rock in particular, but also heavy metal.

I have a first class honours degree in Psychology and a post-graduate teaching certificate. I am happy to discuss any of the following with anyone: Psychology, music, movies, politics, religion and sport (especially boxing, rugby union and football [soccer].

My interest in music has led me to a number of minor projects over the years. I have sung lead vocals in rock bands (mainly cover stuff) and in the early 90s I recorded a CD of (mainly) instrumental music called Past and Present.     I dont know if you remember me? I was in your class in psychology 3 years ago and you saw my band thought of fire at the rock cafe.

    How are things going? You still teaching at stourbridge college?

    Hey there!
    Ive just spent an absolute decacade going through our friends list to find (localish) people!
    just thought I'd let you know about a couple of local shows we have coming up.
    1st one is June 27th at Base Studios in Stourbridge with Che and Riding Giants +BSN 4:20.
    The next one and most exciting of all is on July 6th with The Ghost Of A Thousand who are playing reading/leeds and download this year and who are also touring with gallows and alexisonfire. If you're thinking of coming along then give me a shout. It will probably just be a drunken night anyway hahah.
    oooo were also playing Rock The Castle at Himley park this year and were doing an acoustic set and then a full set on 2 different stages so i think you should definitely familiarise yourself with us if you haven't already :-)

    I'm currently singing in a fledgling new band called SOLUS7. We're in need of a good bassist so if any of you in the West Midlands are bassists looking for a band, or if you know of any, please contact me. We're writing our own material and throwing in a couple of covers. We regard ourselves as a metal band and our influences are Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dream Theater and others. Below, is a video of Brian, our guitarist, and me, at my 50th birthday party on 7th Feb 2009. I was extremely drunk, so please bear that in mind when you listen, but please enjoy.
