Wow, my biggest influences have been Lauryn Hill, Skin (Skunk Anansie), Aaliyah(R.I.P), Erykah Badu, Camille Naryan(one of my closest friends R.I.P), Mariah of course, Tracey Chapman, and so manymore.............................................................
About me… Well its obvious I love music... So I won’t tell you that!
I’ll just simply say that it’s the one thing that has pulled me through and moulded me into the singer/songwriter/musician I am today.
Music is my refuge, my piano is my shelter, and singing is my outlet.
I have an eclectic collection of music I listen to from Hip-Hop, Gothic Rock, Indie, R’n’B, Reggae, Classical, and Jazz, to name a few genres.
Being classically trained I tend to write my music on the piano, then vocalise it later, I just find it easier to hear in my head the harmonies, and structure of the music.
Although I have been blessed to work with various talented producers who have written songs for me or I’ve chosen their beats to write my lyrics and melodies to.
Right now I’m working with on new solo material, and completing collaborations with a lot of amazing artists and producers in the US and UK so please bare with me!
I also just want to say thank you to everyone for the fantastic response and support before and after the Airplay of ‘Still waiting’!
