Horror movies, rock/metal, more horror movies,
more rock/metal, even more horror movies, even
more rock/metal, etc, etc.
Think you get the picture.
Oh, my site, Castle Dracula.
Music
My favourite type of music is Heavy Metal in
all it's forms, if you haven't already guessed.
Which groups in particular?
Damn!!!
How long have you got. To keep it simple, from
AC/DC to Zodiac Mindwarp including everything
in the middle.
A few of my favourite bands though are Whitesnake,
Manowar, WASP, Iron Maiden, Meatloaf, Marilyn Manson,
Alice Cooper, Wednesday 13, Murderdolls, Frankenstein
Drag Queens From Planet 13, Evanescence, Metallica,
Slayer, Kiss, Twisted Sister and the list (like
Scarlett), goes on and on. My tastes are extremely
varied, though I do prefer the earlier stuff.
My favourite band is Queen. Unfortunately I never
got to see them live with Freddy, though I have
seen Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Speaking of music, here's a full concert from
Metallica at Rock Am Ring
Movies
You may have not noticed, but I am quite partial
to horror movies. Infact, it could be said I am
obsessed, especially the classic Universal black
and white films, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf Man,
Creature From The Black Lagoon, Invisible Man, etc.
They had an atmosphere that is lacking in most of
todays films. My favourite film is "Dracula." Bela
Lugosi was perfect in that part, closely rivalled
by Christopher Lee, after those two, no-one else
matters.
However, my absolute favourite horror movie is "The
Texas Chainsaw Massacre," I've lost count how many
versions of that DVD I've bought, each time a better
version than the last.
My favourite "non-horror" film is a film that I grew
up with. Ever since my brother took me to the cinema
in 1977 to see it, I was instantly hooked ....STAR WARS!!!
I even have Darth Vader and Chewbacca tattooed at the
top of each of my arms.
I love the whole saga but the original trilogy is
by far the best.
Television
Television?
Never off!!!
Some favourites are Eastenders, Incredible Hulk,
Scrubs, WWE, Family Guy, South Park, Bilko, Laurel
and Hardy and of course ...DR WHO!!!
Something else I grew up on.
Books
My favourite book by far is Bram Stoker's Dracula,
which I read when I was five.
I began reading horror very early age, being a very
advanced reader for my age, I wasn't interested
in reading any stupid kids books, I wanted something
with more "bite."
Normally I usually read true crime books although my
favourite series of books is the "Creasy" series,
which begins with "Man on Fire" then carries on
with "The Perfect Kill," "Blue Ring," "Black Horn"
and "Message From Hell."
There has been two film versions of "Man on Fire,"
the latest starring Denzel Washington. Not a bad
film but the book is far superior and has a different
ending.
Heroes
Being an ex-practioner of martial arts, namely
Judo and Karate, my hero has to be the "Little
Dragon" himself, Bruce Lee.
As for my other heroes, who else could they be but
the legendary ...Jay and Silent Bob!!!
How could they not be?
"Snoochie Boochie Noochies!!!!!"
I live in Leeds with my fiancee Scarlett
and my two daughters, Rebecca and Layla.
I'm a huge Heavy Metal fan and have been
since I was around twelve, which is too
many years ago now to remember.
I am also a massive film fan, especialy
horror, I basically live and breathe it.
So much so that for a few years I ran my
own horror movie website which became
quite succesful, though it's still there,
I no longer have the time I need to keep
running it as I should.
Due to many health problems I now have,
I am not able to work so I'm on Disability.
On the bright side though, it gives me more
time with my daughters.
Here's me with my pride and joy...
I look different now than what I used
to look, I had hair down my back and
dressed like a die hard "metaller." Now
I can be seen still in the occasional
"metal" t-shirt but usually in all denim
with a shaved head, or at least as short
as it is in this picture, depending if I
can be arsed shaving it or not.
As I don't get out as much now, I spend
most of my time on the internet, my Xbox
360 or Ps2 (especialy Guitar Hero).
That's when I'm not indulging my insatiable
appetite for horror DVD's, my collection
is taking over our house!
Back in the day, I used to frequent a Heavy
Metal club in Leeds called "Scrumpies,"
circa 80's early 90's. Looking back it was
nothing but a flea ridden shit tip.
But it was our flea ridden shit tip. Then
my name was "Alice Cooper," (I changed it
legally.) Though I had a couple of imitators,
I was the original, I later changed it to
"Steven" after the "Alice" song of the same
name.
If you remember me from then, feel free
to get in touch as I've lost contact with
everybody from there now.
If you would like to be added to my list
as a friend, just ask. Be warned however,
I am not on this as some are to get as big
a list as possible to boost a flagging ego,
I don't have one.
Looking for numbers to boost your profile?
