September is here and as the shadows get longer we begin to prepare for Uke Horrifica, a four string celebration of all things macabre in just one month at Silvies on Saturday, October 3. Join us as we put Halloween on the stretching rack to make it last an entire month!
Our last cabaret was a huge success, clocking in at over 4 hours, and due to our growth, we're instituting a new policy to streamline the evening and keep it manageable. If you want to play, let us know in advance or you will not be guaranteed a spot. The acts that RSVP will be scheduled in advance and walk-ups will be added at the end if time is available.
1. Each act may play up to three songs with a 15 minute time limit

The Ukulele Club of Oak Park is planning to set a Beatles Fest record for the most ukulele players onstage at this year's Battle of the Bands. Chicago DJ Terri Hemmert of WXRT is supporting us and has posted it on the WXRT website under "Breakfast With The Beatles." Terri is also the emcee for this Beatles Fest, properly called The Fest For Beatles Fans (http://www. thefestforbeatlesfans. com/).
We may outgrow our current practice space but have a larger venue ready to open their doors to us.
