Writing writing writing, blogging at home, blogging for work, movies, The Internets, amature photography... anything requiring a speck of creativity.

Books
From the pile of books by my bed:
Bill Bryson "Notes From a Small Island", Larry McMurtry "Lonesome Dove", James Michener "Centennial", "The Forever King", about five of the Potter books, the last one of the Clan of the Cavebear books, some Tolkien, some Cussler, a few Poppy Z. Brites, and "The Stand" by Stephen King.
I'm not very good about putting my books away :)
About me: A little about me:
A wannabe writer masquerading as a geek. I'm currently working on a story that just keeps growing. You can follow along in a couple of places. The story itself is on Ficlets and begins here. Click, and just keep reading the sequels. Feel free to join Ficlets and leave me comments too. I love comments.
My main character from the story is called CherryPop McGee and she has her own blog now :) You can read supplemental stuff there.
Basically, CherryPop is the daughter of a powerful witch and equally powerful necromancer. her best friend is a vampire and she has a zombie for a bodyguard/friend as well. It's a fun story. Check it out and let me know what you think!
My life is like a dusty, comfy old book and I keep it here.
So... I've been messing about with some audio editing software and have been having fun making dialogue mixes from some of my favourite TV shows. They're not stellar or anything, but I am having a blast making them. So if you happen to be a Buffy/Angel/24 fan, you might like these. (warning, music stylings may not be your cuppa. I'm just playing with different things.)

- Deviant - Angelus mix - NEW!
- The Spark in Me - Spike Mixy - NEW!
- Fists N Fangs - NEW!
- Angelus Mix - This was made with the free Xpress version and so far it's my favourite one I've done.
- Spike Mix - The first one I did with the full version. It's ok. I can do better though.
- Cheap Wine Lies - James Marsters does some spoken word. I gave it a little kick.
- Angelus' Passion Mix - Ok Angel again, but the sound clips I use make me tingly. I was looking more for just ambient music on this one.
- Angel's Despair Mix - Ok Angel one more time, but I wanted to try a slow mix this time and Angel's broody moodiness seemed to fit.
- Badass Bauer Mix

Thanks, sis! He's the best! You said you're stoked to have a brother! I'm stoked to have a brother and a new sister too! And a sister & brother-in-law, and a new niece & nephew! Crazy! I'll still have to call his parents Mr & Mrs B though. That's about as informal as they'll let me get!
I was in Grand Island/Overton/Kearney/York for the last couple of days on a super-mega antique/thrift extravaganza with my boss. Stayed at the Budget Inn and had grounds to go. Thought of you, but didn't have your phone number.
Are you going to have any hangout time available this weekend before/after Placebo?
