Mr Rocky was born 31st August 1983 in the UK, but then moved to Italy and was brought up there. Product of a British Mother and Portugese Father, with his family tree spreading deep into Africa. Mr Rocky has had many severe health problems. He suffers from Skeletal Dysplasia, which is one of the many forms of dwarfism. In 1985 he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 (Fewer than 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma in the UK each year.) It is a cancer of the sympathetic nervous system -- a nerve network that carries messages from the brain throughout the body. Its solid tumors, which take the form of a lump or mass, commonly begin in one of the adrenal glands, though they can also develop in nerve tissues in the neck, chest, abdomen, or pelvis.
The cause of neuroblastoma is unknown, though most physicians believe that it is an accidental cell growth that occurs during normal development of the adrenal glands. Neuroblastoma is one of the rare human malignancies known to demonstrate spontaneous regression from an undifferentiated state to a completely benign cellular appearance. When he was only 2 years of age, the doctors gave him a 1 in 1000 chance of survival. He underwent a whole load of treatments from chemotherapy, total body irradiation, bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, hip fixtures, both knee's have been operated, and much more. In 2006 he was diagnosed with cancer again and spent most of the year in and out of hospital. He received radiotherapy treatment for cancer, from January until April 2007. In May 2007 he was yet again diagnosed with lung cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for it. Despite all his life threatning illnesses he manges to move along with his life.
In 2000 he came back to the UK and lived in south east London for 7 years. His accent is not as "British" as you could expect. Going from UK, to Italy, to Barbados, back to Italy and back to UK, because of his mothers job, you'd definately expect his accent to be a little odd.
Mr Rocky started writing lyrics about 7 years ago, and he started freestyling 5 years ago in 2002. Mr Rocky has done several MC battles in London @ Equinox (Leicester Square) and Mean Fiddler for The Jump Off (The Jump Off) . In June 2005, he was interviewed on MTV after one of the Jump Off events. In August 2006 he won the £100 MC Battle at the Jump Off's 3rd B-day. In spare time, he has been a part time moderator for LondonByDesign (LBD) LondonByDesign and soon to become moderator for a few other up big time sites. In the summer of 2005 he did a collaboration track in the Exel Studio in Rome, Italy, with Exel himself (Exel Productions) .

Normally one of the highlights of Jump Off, the talent in the Rap Battle appears to have taken a serious step back. The understanding of the stand off between 2 MCs as they scope each other out for things to say that the crowd will respond to is just not there. See, Challenger SNAZZ had a crazy flow and was definitely freestyling but said little in the form of Battle lyrics. When you're facing MR ROCKY, who's not just a short dude, he's a little dude whose nameplate bangs his knees, and you make no reference to his height, it's over for you. Then B TWISTED, flowd a little like the Eminem era of wannabies and dropped straight generic written. EDDIE GEE had the right idea but the wrong lyrics and nothing that hadnt been said before. It was all about the comedy of MR ROCKYs stage presence!

"Waaaasssgoaainonn??" were the cries when 4 foot MR ROCKY stepped up out of the crowd to battle. But he breezed through to the final of the rounds to face PROFESSOR GREEN who makes his return to the Jump Off Battle stage holding the longest streak for an MC Battler yet on 6 weeks. You may remember him being torn limb from limb by CLUEDO back at JO23 in February. And this week was PGs turn to strip a rival of their almost-7 streak as he scraped past the phenomenon MR ROCKY in two heated rounds he could have easily lost. On a night where a hot, small-dude steps up using the same name as the current champ, you can see why ROCKY wasn't very happy. However, his performance was shaky and he looked a shadow of his former self. A sluggish, nervous shadow at that who failed to spit out a single punchline. I hope he doesn't bump into the ROCKY that beat SKINNYMAN 5 weeks ago coz he wont be happy with his performance at all. If MR ROCKY was rockin an Arsenal shirt and a black woolly standin with his arms crossed, i'd understand but this night was more about ROCKY losing it than PG winning it.
