About me: SPEAK is the Society for Peace Environment Action and Knowledge. we are a group of mostly (but not limited to) students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (as well as our alums, gurus, and travelers who come into the realm of the Good World that we work on here in Lafayette.
SPEAK grew out of the inspiration of USL students in 1992 during and after the seminal "United Nations Conference on Environment and Development" aka the 1992 Earth Summit in Brazil. Seeing that the entirety of Earth's ecosystem was at stake, and drawing from the inspiration of the newly re-organized Department of Renewable Resources, SPEAK began promoting the myriad concerns involved in making human life more sustainable in our local region.
In order to further that mission, We meet throughout the Fall and Spring semesters in the Forum Room of the UL Student Union (across from the cafeteria) at 4:30pm on Wednesdays.
We ask no money of you to be a member, only your time, energy, enthusiasm, ideas, and passion to implement a better more progressive, socially aware and just, peaceful, sustainable and actionable, ecoconsciousfriendly-UL, Lafayette, Louisiana and our World.

Yes the Earth is Rockin! :) Sadly this Alum is not doing anything in her field. After being unemployed for over a year I'm very lucky to have a job with the state as an Engineer tech and I do have an interview set up for a position as an environmental impact specialist!!! Which I would think would be a great fit :)

That u-tube visual you left me was awesome! My friend had told me about Alex Grey and said my painting reminded him of Grey's work also hah. But wow I had no idea his work was so deep! I found it to be very inspiring. So thank you for that. I also wanted to thank you for those ideas you suggested to me earlier. I'm planning to go recruiting this weekend! With an election right around the corner, why seek impeachment now? If we allow the President and Vice President to 'get away with it', we are openly saying that their type of conduct is permissible in future administrations. Any and all crimes committed by the President and Vice President must be put on the official record to create an historical account, to facilitate future pursuit of law enforcement activities concerning the crimes, to remind future Administrations to adhere to the law, and to avert another looming illegal war - this time against Iran. The Articles of Impeachment put the Administration's crimes officially on record and hold the individuals accountable under domestic and international law, even after they leave office.
