Based in Leipzig, Ulan Bator can be called the first Jungle & DnB crew in town. Today the crew promotes primary Ragga Jungle and Live DnB events for the local massive. Three years ago the crew which is legally organized as a kind of association according to the FRG law started to manage a own label, too. At the moment there're Ulan Bator Records with a wider musical perspective for breakbeat music and stronger impact on local producer for the future and Junglelivity a Jungle label due to the music we respect and love exceptionally since years..
1995 - 1999
In 1995, Ulan Bator began to make parties in an underground freeparty style at several mostly old left industrial locations. Two years later it was rented a 140 qm location at Spinnereistrasse on an old industrial area for cotton manufacturing. In three years Ulan Bator promoted regulary parties there among them three greater events named Harzfein and Kocmoc I + II on the whole area.
2000 - 2002
After leaving the location due to the dilapidated state of the building Ulan Bator continued to promote parties at several places: In the dawn of the new century the crew presented in common a regular with the Reggae soundsystem: Rotzlöffel HiFi at Kulturbundhaus. Besides that and later it followed partly engagements at different venues all over Leipzig: Conne Island, Redlight D.C., Substanz and Kosmophon. In that time we present a various kind of national djs and soundsystem as DJ Hype (BLN), E.Decay, Appollo, Tobstar or even Supersonic Sound
2002 - 2007
In 2002 the Fridayclub at Distillery was opened. A couple of Leipzig crews with a different background of Black music were engaged in this project which lasted for the crew more than five years. At the Ulan Bator regular: Ulan Bator Trommel Bass on each 3rd Friday, the crew used the opportunity to present a lot of DnB and Jungle selectors from all over Europe and Northamerica as even first upcoming live DnB bands as Miloopa (Pl), Spielwiese (DE), and Style Confusion (local) alike. Besides that regular, there were a few greater but ones of the most impressive shows ever done by Ulan Bator as the 8th Anniversary with Dissident Sound in 2003 or JoJoMayer in 2004 at Tangofabrik.
2008 - XXXX
In last years Ulan Bator has promoted less parties than before and focused
more on the label work with the goal to build a strong own musical community of producers and musicans. Therefore at this time we work in common with Pyjama Pyrat of Bowser Breaks and Styleconfusion to realize new projects.

Der schönste Tag des Jahres! Die Tage werden immer länger, die Sonne scheint immer heisser, die Clubs werden leerer und die Grillwiesen voller: Es wird Sommer!
Und was wäre der Sommer ohne das Grande Massife Open Air? Ohne den einzigartigen Charme dieser langen heissen elektronischen Sommernacht? Ohne Kuppeln, verschwenderischer Deko, Jonglage und überwältigenden Visuals? Ohne leckere Cocktails, saftiges Grillgut und Omas Chilloutbalkon?
oh ja. coole location, wenn auch nur mit auto bequem zu erreichen und auch musik, die tanzbar ist (hab ich mir aber schon gedacht;)). und epoc war cool, wat fürne sängerin. nur war mir nicht so tanzbar zumute. schade aber auch. aber unsere körper sind ja auch nicht mehr die jüngsten, hihi. also. ich freu mich auf die nächsten parties und dann schleppe ich einfach noch nen paar mehr reudnitzer mit. tatort-time.
