.. UL se formó en el año 2006, con integrantes de los grupos Reynols, Minexio VII y Virgen Vapor. En mayo de 2005 fueron convocados por el cantante japonés Damo Suzuki (ex Can) para acompañarlo en una serie de recitales realizados en Buenos Aires en el año 2005. Desde el punto de vista musical UL explora las posibilidades timbricas de la guitarra eléctrica, buscando un lenguaje propio, que amalgama elementos del noise, drone, música atonal contemporánea y la improvisación libre. El grupo ha editado “Astropecuario” su primer álbum en Escocia, a través del sello Pjorn y su segundo álbum “II”, en el sello argentino Facón Records.
En 2006 han tocado en vivo y realizado sesiones con músicos de Alemania y Finlandia. En estos momentos se encuentran masterizando material próximo a editarse en Rusia, Francia y otros países. ..
.. UL was formed in 2006 with members of Reynols, Minexio VII and Virgen Vapor. In May 2005, they were convoked by the japonese singer Damo Suzuki (ex Can) in order to join him in a series of gigs performed in Buenos Aires in the same year.
Musically UL explores the timbric posibilities of the electric guitar, looking for its own and unique language, which combines elements of noise, drone, contemporary atonal music and free improvisation.
The band has edited “Astropecuario”, which is their first album in Scotland, released by Pjorn Records, and a second album “II” released by Facon Records.
In 2006 they performed live and made jam sessions with musicians from Germany and Finland. Nowadays they are materizing their new material that soon will be edited in Russia, France and other countries. ..
