Gestartet haben wir im Jahr 2000 als Zwei-Mann-Konstellation, Arthur an der Gitarre (und brüllend am Mikro) und Peter am Keyboard/Klavier. Unsere Kompositionen entstanden (und entstehen immer noch) meist spontan, wenn wir miteinander drauf los musizieren und werden dann von uns intensiv ausgearbeitet.
2001 trafen wir auf Carsten, der unsere Musik mit seiner Stimme und neuen Texten bereicherte.
"Umbra Oculta" ist die Verbindung von drei völlig unterschiedlichen Typen unterschiedlicher (musikalischer) Herkunft. Arthur bringt seine Liebe zu Gothic, Metal und harten Gitarren ein, Peter, der nebenbei rein klassische Konzerte am Piano spielt, und Carsten, der seine Stimme im Gospelbereich ausgebildet hat.
Was uns verbindet, sind unsere Gedanken und Gefühle, deren Umsetzung in Musik und der Wunsch, daß sich auch unsere Hörer in verschiedenen Phasen ihres Lebens in unserer Musik wiederfinden und sich somit verstanden und damit verbunden fühlen.
We started in 2000 as a two-person-constellation, Arthur
at the guitar (and roaring into the micro) and Peter at the keyboard/piano.
Our compositions grew ( and still grow ) mostly spontaneously, when
we meet and just start playing. Then we work them out intensively.
In 2001 we met Carsten, who enriched our music with his voice
and new texts.
" Umbra Oculta " is the combination of three completely different guys of different musical origin.
Arthur brings in his love for gothic, metal and hard guitar-sounds, Peter,
who by the way also gives classical concerts at the piano, and Carsten,
who shaped his voice in gospel music. What connects us, is our thinking and feeling, its transfer into music and the wish that our fans can find
themselves in the different phases of their lives as well and so get the
feeling of being understood and connected with it.
