The University of Montana Lambda Alliance seeks to increase the visibility and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people through education and community. Lambda works to support LGBT people and their allies in the various stages of the coming out process, in the creation and affirmation of positive self-identities, in the promotion of their human and civil rights, in the deconstruction of dehumanizing and harmful stereotypes, and in educating the University of Montana as a whole about LGBT topics.
Please feel more than free to stop by the Lambda office during normal office hours. We are located at UC 209 in the Student Organization Suite on the second floor of the UC.
Weekly Lambda meetings begin Tuesday 18 September at 7:00 PM in UC 326. Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend; one need not be a student to attend. We will see everyone there!
Who I'd like to meet: Members of the LGBTI community, as well as our straight allies. Come by our office in UC 209 in the University Centers Student Organization Suite so we may meet you!

Hi Lambda. I am your president. I think people should be involved in Lambda for their own personal reasons but I know I go because I care about my civil rights as well as the rights of the rest of the LGBTIQ community. I think many people who claim to disagree with the "gay agenda" are simply uninformed and part of Lambda's job is to help inform the campus and Missoula community about what the gay community is trying to accomplish. Lambda is also a whole lot of fun and the group is comprised of many great people!!
anyway im fanchon and im lambdas outreach coordinator...yeah its pretty exciting...i get to coordinate and do outreach and stuff...be jealous.
lambda is great. were a wonderful bunch of fun, accepting, sexy people. if youre looking for a good time here in the missoula area once school starts, join us at our tuesday night meetings at 7 in the UC.
My name is Josh Peters-McBride. I am SO very stoked for Lambda this year!!! It is going to be kick-ass!!! Come check us out! If you have absolutely ANY questions, feel free to message ANYONE on the top friends list, we will definitely answer your questions!!
Hello Lambda. I am currently your treasurer. My responsibilities include generating income for the group, which may including organising sponsorship, or arranging fundraising events. I also oversee, as part of the board of directors, how money is spent, and in some cases I may authorize how it is distributed. I am also to accurately document how the money is allocated and prepare the budget report. (When I figure out the guidelines for that) It's my prime responsibility to make sure that Lambda has enough money to carry out its stated aims and objectives, and that our group does not overspend nor underspend its money. As for personal information, I'm currently in my second year of pre-pharmacy study as a junior (by credit) at the University. I'm spending my summer working at the grandiose Albertson's deli while living with my oftentimes wonderous parents. In addition, I am currently sober while composing this message, so please exclude my misapplication of proper conventions. =)
