In Portugal by the end of 2007 a small group of 3 friends decided to form a EBM band with strong influences and attitude focused on oldschool EBM.
With a Smooth, Calm, Warm, Sexy and sometimes Deranged, Aggressive, Punk and Militaristic atitude, always an undoubtful great smile upon our faces and with a special taste for all kinds of beer (mainly the Portuguese "Sagres") has born a new notorious, sarcastic and new EBM band that surely will not be indiferent to the general critics.
UMM mainly sing in portuguese but very soon will be trying the experience of playing in foreign languages.
Stay tuned to UMM and drink beer like Hell!

OUR EBM IS NOT TRYING TO BE POLITICAL. THE TASTE IN EBM IS REALLY WHAT MAKES THIS MACHINE WORK!!!

"U.M.M." IS NOT A POLITICAL BAND (SO, WE DON'T PUSH TO ANY KIND OF POLITICAL EXTREMISM - NOT FROM THE FAR RIGHT SIDE OR FROM THE FAR LEFT SIDE) - but we surely have our own political ideas... each one with his own point of view.
The first U.M.M. song "O Mineiro - Der Bergmann" apears on the "Lieder der Berge" EBM sampler, edited by the wonderful ELECTRIC TREMOR DESSAU with ELEKTROFRONT ERZEBIRGE.

Groupe T's sixth album is online here, it holds a special place in our discography as it is an homage to the EBM godfathers Front 242 (earlier works). As such, it sounds like no other of our previous releases. We hope that no one will feel offended!
