About me: I hate defining myself, its too constraining. Suffice it to say, I do a bunch of things; I am a producer(music, film,& TV),a writer,a designer, curator and composer. I have been a teacher, and marketing guy. In just about every genre from Noise to Rock-A-Billy to Neo-Classical and Jazz.I also consult for companies about things like: culture, art and technology and its various points of intersection,
If your into weird music chances are pretty good that I worked with a guy you like, or a guy who worked with them.
In the six degrees of separation between John Cage and Judas Priest, I am number three.
That more or less sums me up, beyond that: I consume media, think somewhat abstract thoughts, go to the movies, and fight crime with some snappily dressed teenagers and their talking dog
Who I'd like to meet:
The real the true, and the people who are trying to be. Me I am just looking for the next great adventure.
I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
We appreciate that you're doing your own thing and glad that you're our friend!
I wanted to share an insight that I had recently. Blood Root Mother really believe in the power of music. Genuine music transcends all limitations and boundaries, and happens when musicians and listeners are communicating with one another on the deepest level possible. In a society overcome by an obsession with flashy images and stale radio hits, we seek to do something that shakes the foundation of the status quo. Since the dawn of human civilization, music has been about sharing humanity and truly connecting with others. So stay connected with us, and join us on our journey.
Peace, Elliot
The artistic activity does not lie in art itself as such. It penetrates into a deeper world in which all art forms flow together, and in which the harmony of soul and cosmos in the nothing has its outcome in reality. -Bruce Lee

Hello! Easter Sunday sTEAp Sessions will be taking place at the Caterpillar Lounge from 5pm-10pm!!! Grab some friends and come on down for a little Sunday Afternoon Funday! This is sure to be a great time. I hope you can make it!
Twin Cities Cross Promotions Network and Robbie Lee, BeatMD would like cordially invite you to a very special Easter Sunday edition of sTEAp! Additionally, this will be the final going away party for our dear friend Ms. Jen Hustler, as she makes her move to beautiful San Diego, California! WE WILL MISS YOU HUSSIE!
Easter sTEAp takes place Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 5pm-10pm at the Caterpillar Lounge, located on 26th & Nicollet in Minneapolis. Many of you are already very familiar with this space and I hope you will be able to attend! This is a new venture for the Caterpillar Lounge, as they have yet to actually have a afternoon dance/social session! The weather forecast says it will be a mild spring day, with temps in the mid-50's. Let's show the Caterpillar Lounge how we like our Sunday Afternoon recovery sessions! IN STYLE!
DJ Jam E-Z will kick off the event with a 2-hour vinyl set from 5pm-7pm and I (Robbie Lee, BeatMD) will take over the mills from 7pm-10pm. Who knows, I may even decide to bring some vinyl treats myself, if I can stand carrying the extra 50lbs of music! (LOL) Regardless, you will be certain to hear the sounds that take you underground and into the depths of the doctor!
Finally, if you do plan to attend, please feel free to invite those friends who you hold near and dear. Without you and yours, Twin Cities Cross Promotion Network cannot make this event a success. It takes a village to raise a child and you all are part of this village!
All My Love and Beats are meant for you & you & you &...
We are very proud to announce, that Monocular s "Water Shape EP" is available at your favorite Online-Store now.
Containing the single "Water Shape" from the forthcoming album "Somewhere On The Line" (April 03, 2009 VierSieben Records/Alive) and three non-album tracks ("Consequence", "To Admire The Life", "Ravenclaw"), it is definitely a must have for all fans of filigree and athmospheric electrosounds.
Where bands like Lamb or Frou Frou left a gap in the late 90s and early 21st century, Monocular redefined the sound and set new standards in developing their complex music by connecting charismatic vocals with entrancing soundscapes.
We have entered an online Battle in which the winner gets to play Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wi. We would play for craploads of people and would be the funnest time ever. Soo please vote and pass on the link to as many people as you can! Tell anyone and everyone please!! Thank you!!! Platnumb
Im glad i can stay fresh in your mind. But I guess I owe it to the city, I should take those down since the show is done. Maybe not, free advertisement is always good.
