United Nations Association - Columbus Chapter's Interests
General2008 COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL For fifty two (52) years, the Columbus International Festival has strived to bring together different cultures from across the world each November weekend. Formerly known as the United Nations Festival, the event is the Columbus Chapter's largest outreach event, and the largest event of its kind sponsored and implimented by a UNA-USA chapter in the country. Each year, approximately 175-200 booths representing nearly 75 cultures offer arts, crafts, entertainment and food. Two performance states offer continuous entertainment throughout the festival, and a children's area offers international arts, crafts and demonstrations for youths of all ages. In 2000, a health fair component was added to the festival to provide information on local health and fitness as well as global health issues. A Parade of Nations, held midday both days, winds its way through both halls displaying the cultures in attendance. Periodically, other events will be held in conjunction with the festival, such as the International Community Forum and Model United Nations exercises.

Planning is currently underway for the 2008 CIF. Meeting dates and other information are available on the downloads page. For additional information, email Festival@unacol.org

Exhibitor and Entertainer applications are now available for download on the Downloads section of the chapter website.

Presale ticket locations will be listed at www.unacol.org/international_festival.html as they become available.
