Úna MacLochlainn is a 22 year old singer-songwriter from New Inn, Co.
Galway. Her debut album, Willow Tree recieved rave reviews with
critics comparing her laser-sharp perspective and voice to a tradition
reaching all the way back to Joni Mitchell and Carole King. Úna is no
stranger to music, having grown up surrounded by it, she had her first
violin lesson at the age of 3 and is now a multi-instrumentalist,
providing all the instrumental accompaniment for her own album, playin
piano, guitar, violin, cello, and viola and singing. Her signatire style exudes hints of jazz, folk and blues. Love, loss and parting premeate her haunting, compelling, music which makes you stop and listen.
Una has performed as support act to Sharon Shannon, Mary Coughlan and Don Baker and has had people such as song-writer Johnny Duhan describe her as 'a
voice to be reckoned with'. Siobhan Long of The Times 'Ticket'
magazine described her as a 'bird in full flight'.

This Christmas I hope that you'll see beyond the glitter and tinsel; beyond the tree lights and porcelain angels. I hope that you'll feel the Christmas Spirit in your heart and soul and remember the miracle of Christ's birth, God's gift of love and light to the world.
We all need a dear friend just like we need the magic of Christmas. For a true friend moves us, wakes us up, brings us back to life, and reminds us just how precious life is and how blessed we are. Merry Christmas!!!
I invite you to listen to my version of the popular british song "Greensleeves" with a "touch" of spanish guitar. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!. Amparo García-Otero. Singer and songwriter. Spain.

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
