Neye Benziyor?
Cross Between VNV and KMFDM but who are we to say anyway?
Unavox emerged in late 2004 as a four-member ensemble dedicated to the
composition and live performance of electronic and industrial music. Based on the
concepts and musical frameworks keyboardist Reid Rainwater had previously developed
as a one-man-band years earlier, the other members of Unavox and Reid were able to create
new music that equally represented them all.
Unavox's debut EP, 'Angels Dance Upwards,' was recorded in the band's home studio by the members
themselves. Approximately halfway through the recording process, three of the band members moved from
Athens, GA to California, leaving guitarist, Steve Fogle, behind in Athens. Despite the distance,
Unavox continued to record the EP and play shows transcontinentally via the internet and several
flights for Steve. The West Coast EP Release took place in July, 2005, and was well-received by several
magazines and is still getting airplay on numerous stations, including Rant Radio, The Ungodly Hour,
and CyberAge Radio. Along with many additional accolades, the 'Angels Dance Upwards [ep]' was included
on DJ I.Z.'s "Best Albums of 2005" list and was also listed on Radio Ardilla's "Best of 2005."
Unavox's goal is to compose electronic music that can be performed live. Live Unavox is Reid Rainwater on lead keys, Micheal Murray with dark vocals, Meggan Cooper on bass, sultry backing vocals, and backing keys, and Steve Fogle with aggressive guitar and backing vocals. In the studio, each member has a role in the writing, arranging, and recording/engineering of the music and lyrics.
With the completion of the full-length 'Angels Dance Upward' album in August of 2006, Unavox immediately returned to the studio to begin writing and recording their second full-length album titled 'One Voice Of Dissent'. In the meantime, Unavox is booking shows to promote both of their albums and to help provide exposure for Industrial groups throughout the Southeastern US. Unavox will continue to strive to put on the dynamic live shows and produce the innovative industrial rock music that brought them together to begin with.
We would like to mention a few things because we have had a surge of friend requests lately. We DO NOT accept all friend requests and we DO read your page. I feel I should NOT need to mention that we will not accept your request if it contains any message of hatred on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, sexual preference so forth and so on, yet unfortunately, I do. We also do NOT accept friend requests from any business NOT pertaining to the music industry and/or the gothic/industrial "scene." I hate mentioning those words, but I feel it needs to be said. We also will NOT accept your request if you are an artist outside of our basic genre. We love music of all types and do not mind you "pimping" yourself on our page, but, again for the sake of this page you must be able to include yourself in the basic dark/gothic/industrial/electro genres for acceptance. IF you have set your profile to private, you MUST message us first before we accept your request. We completely understand the need for a private profile and do not seek to punish those of you who have them. The spam profiles have gotten out of hand as of late and we need some type of confirmation that you are a real person. Without this, we have no choice but to deny you. We absolutely hate having to type this message, but it is what it is.
