Heroes
Anyone who has the courage and strength to rise above their own fear, and go for what they know they deserve- letting NOTHING get in their way.
About me: I've got the "dreamers disease." I don't think we've even scratched the surface of the beauty of the human spirit. Or of our own potential. I cannot help but notice that those individuals in my generation seem to be so beset by fear. Fear of failure. Taking risks can be scary, but the rewards for trying are so much better than never taking the risk at all. Sure, you may fall flat on your face, but "what if" you succeed? "What if?" Take that leap of faith. Heed my advice. I am just now beginning to "see the light" myself. I am Erica- a young, happy-go-lucky, free thinking individual. Most people who know me would probably say I'm kind, funny, and happy. That all might be true, however I feel a persons most significant qualities are those that lay beneath the surface. I'm very compassionate, very loyal, and very self-sacrificing. I will do almost anything for the people I care about. I can be a dork. I love to read and am easily moved by movies and music. I love meeting new people; people who are completely different from myself, or people who can introduce me to new ideas and ways of thinking. I love and appreciate the things that make us all different, and I love hearing the stories of other people, learning what they've been through and where they've come from. It gives me more of an understanding and appreciation for the person they've become. I think we all could be a little more open-hearted with one another. I'm an optimist. I have faith in people and believe that people are, for the most part, good. I try to remind myself that everyone has imperfections, and I strive to always be open-minded in regards to those imperfections. People deserve a second chance. Besides; imperfections can be beautiful. I delight in random acts of kindness... you know- doing kind things for people "just because." I think far too often we get all caught up in ourselves and our own problems. We may not realize how great it can feel to do something for someone else. Although I may fall short from time to time, I really do strive to remain grounded and remind myself that, all things considered, I've got it pretty good. :-) "You may say I'm a dreamer..."
