Uncle Beesly
Uncle Beesly is mostly a bass player but is sometimes known for his bizarro country-punk guitar playing with elmo rockers Gummi Bako. He has played with many Fence luminaries...too many to mention here but suffice to say - they were big and they were luminous. He has been widdling away on the bass since 1936 and one day hopes to be as good as that long-armed bloke out of New Order. He has given up touring for now and has opened up a daycare centre for Mexican orphans. One day he hopes to train them up to form a Spagetti Western Orchestra to perform his songs and star in his "movies". He hopes to film the first of these next year on Salisbury Crags and this will form a backdrop for his greatest hit 'El Topo' (172 in the Tijuana billboard charts 1974) which will be re-released by Fence Records (though they have foolishly not yet confirmed this) next year. He's already had offers from many big Fife directors looking to work with him, oh yes.
