  • Bio

Uncle Bonsai was a cult favorite in the '80s (yes, last century), being featured often on college, public and the occasional commercial station. After a 10 year hiatus, the group began doing infrequent shows. During the 10 of infrequent shows, Bonsai reformed, with new member, Patrice O'Neill, and is releasing its new CD, The Grim Parade, in fall of 2010. (The CD is definitely finished, being pressed even as I type. It contains the best we're capable of, songs we've been singing for a few years now, honed to sparkle.) Bonsai's getting older (so are you!), but the edge (as Michael Upchurch kindly remarked in the Seattle Times this year) REMAINS!! And with new fans coming of age ("Hey, I first heard you when I was in utero"), hopes to continue getting older in public.
