I consider my Mac computing, which isn't nothing to brag about, just a hobby really. So anything pertaining to all things Apple and their products I have a vested interest in I suppose. I guess you could say I'm a fan but not a fanatic! LOL
Music
iTunes, Garageband, Soundtrack, Logic, etc. General Apple software related to music like JamPacks and that does include all 3rd party softs & plugins. ;-)
Movies
iMovie '08 & iMovie 06 HD, Final Cut Express HD or FCE Final Cust Studio and of course any and all plugins by Apple & of course 3rd parties. ;-)
Hmm, looking forward to the MacHead Documentary! Looks pretty awesome!
MacHEADS trailer ..
Television
Apple TV! Or ITV!
Cool show! You can watch it free online even on yes, a Mac! ;-)
Books
My favorite ones to read right now are the best 2 Mac magazines on the planet: iCreate & MacFormat.

About me: I've been coined "Uncle Mac" by one of my nephew's close friends Roddy. Why? Although I know for a fact I don't qualify for a position as an Apple Genius I do have a decent amount of Mac or Apple product knowledge and of Mac's OS X. I just lend a hand when I can to help a fellow Mac user, nothing really out of the ordinary to me. :-)
Ok, so what's the deal with the "HQ"? Uncle Mac was taken as both a dot com and as a dot Mac email address. HQ, as you may well know, is an abbreviation for Headquarters and I just had a retro flashback moment to my old video game store I named GameForce Central HQ. Ok, why is that? I figured that if it really took off I could use that name in other ways like: Baton Rouge HQ, Los Angles HQ, etc. ;-) Seth, my nephew wondered why I didn't use a dash or an underscore or whatever but that just isn't me and that's that! LOL It's a consistency thing too, across the board. I take the old Apple tag line "Think Different" to heart sometimes and use it in my daily life in many ways.
Lately, I've had some extra free time on my hands so I decided to branch out and make a new myspace page separate from my personal one to see if I might be able to help other Mac users or potential ones and they might help me in return.
BTW I don't snub PC users in spite of the somewhat typical description of general old school Mac-heads. It's better to just get along anyways especially since the not so new now, MacIntel's, can run Windows XP & Vista full blown and in virtual mode using Parallels or VM Ware's Fusion. Both platforms have their advantages and disadvantages but like the "Get A Mac" ads we can get along if we don't throw in the human nature factor of overzealous brand loyalty and start squabbling over stuff that should only be taken in a jokingly way, not too serious yah know. ;-)

Who I'd like to meet: First things first, before I add you as a friend I would like to check out your profile or at least give it a quick look over. I mean mine is public so it's only fair to me if I can see yours. If I can't, hint, hint, ;-) then I won't add you sorry!
In the shell of a nut, I'd like to meet other fellow Mac users either online here through myspace or eventually in person if we haven't already done so to share information, tips or a general interest in all things Mac or Apple inc. formerly Apple Computer.
As far as an object I'd like to meet I do have a future one as of this coming spring Louisiana's first genuine Apple Store will be opening up near the Mall Of LA. When? I heard in March of 2K8. They usually have a bunch of great goodies to give away on grand opening day like MacBooks, iPods and who knows maybe they'll throw in an iPhone, or the rumored sub-notebook/Newton II as prizes? We'll see in just a few months from now.
People? It's a no brainer that I'd like to meet both Steves: Jobs & Woz & Mr. Design King himself Jonathan Ive. Why? Those guys have done wonders to the computer industry as a whole and in part to the music, movie, and now the cell phone industry as well. You've got the brains, brawn and the artist in those three. ;-)
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, etc., etc! Get your Mac freebies today and more on Christmas Day! Woo-Hoo! For you and all your Mac owning friends! :D http://givingtree. macheist. com/ My Space will alter the link but you can google Mac Giving Tree and it should pop right up as the 1st result.
According to TUAW: "As the holidays quickly move through it would seem that everyone is in the spirit of giving (unless you're a scrooge, but that's a different story entirely). MacHeist, a site that has mainly been known to sell application bundles, is offering something very special this holiday season. The Mac Giving Tree is a place where people with a MacHeist account can go to get free applications. If you don't have MacHeist credentials, you can sign up for free.
When you sign up, you are able to join the Mac Giving Tree -- this gives you a few free applications upon sign up. I got Synergy and Enigmo 2 absolutely free. On Christmas Day, you are able to visit the site, sign in, and "unwrap" other presents that show up below the tree. When you refer your friends, you are able to get additional presents to unwrap.
Visit the Mac Giving Tree to get your free applications, and while you're there take a look at the page design. If you Twitter a message starting with @macheist, your tweet will automatically show up on the page ... that's just pretty nifty.

From u-2-me-&-back-again! LOL Yet another great site for Mac software MacZot! It might be worth a look see and sign up for their free promo emails! I stumbled across it, well virtually on da 'net, and found some really cool software that I didn't know existed! Mostly Shareware but that's the backbone of the industry you know like small or local neighborhood businesses you support. I don't know if he does bundles but that don't matter since you can register once per day to win what's offered and scope out past ones.
From you to me and back to you! LOL What's the MacHeist & MacUpdate Parallels Promo software bundles all about? Get a heck of a deal from either vendor/sponsor just check 'em out and see what you need or will really like after you scan it over. I got this years Mac Heist and it was well worth the $49 bux. 9 apps + 3 games. Retail value? $250.00! I found 4 of those to be pretty darned good and I saved about $50 clams! If you want to help an Uncle out click on my referral link here: https://www. macheist. com/buy/referral/5251
MUPB is more costly at $64.00 with Parallels as a part of the 10 application deal. I've found 5 to be useful and I'd save at least a $120 bux even if I didn't get the locked apps. What's a locked app? It's a very controversial and ridiculous to increase sales and demand with the unlock gimmick! Just my opinion! LOL I'll probably still buy it even though there are 3 locked apps and my favorite one is still locked waiting to meet a total number of sales to increase, for unlock and it ain't looking to good! But, if you want to help a Uncle out click on my referral link below for more information: Today's MacUpdate Promo, 40% off
It's almost here! Time to go urban campin'! LOL Gotta try to get there on Grand Opening Day to scoop up some goodies! Like I dunno maybe a MacBook Air for free? They always give great stuff on GA Day like laptops, iPhones, iPods and gift cards. Oh yeah, and everyone gets a t-shirt at least, I believe. ;-)
Well, I didn't win the MacBook Air :-( But if they make one of these babies I gotta get in line for this one! It's only a concept but still schweet! ;-)
