This is usually a solo project , but I also play trio quite often. The Fatbacks include Miles Anderson on bass, Glenn Dickson on clarinet, Doghouse Dan on 'bone, Bhob Rainey on sop sax, Michael McLaughlin on accordion, Tung Pham on trumpet, etc...
"UNCLE SHOE has a manner of tuneful delivery that appeals to the delight of the most discerning audiences and his lilting streetcorner soliloquies are equally commanding of attention from the casual passers-by. His voice can fill a concert hall and effortlessly match the din of an elevated train. His songs are at once boastful, humorous, opinionated and romantic. It is difficult to not find oneself immediately taken up and carried away on the infectious melodies that issue forth from his masterful banjo playing, hollers, & captivating voice."

Admission is free, but bring some a few bills anyway, to help out the touring bands (OP!!! has made their trek all the way from Texas!)

Uncle Shoe, thank you so much for the recordings. They sound beautiful. Our anxious selves are feeling totally great about our performance now. You're the coolest!
Good to see you again! I was sorry to have had to leave the Cellar early, but glad to hear some great tunes. I don't think i've heard you do "she's funny that way" before, but it sounded great. "buckets of rain" is an old favorite of mine, but i'm certain i had never until now paid any mind at all to the words to "dream on".
