   About Uncontained Sound
What Makes the PowerCab Different?
  • Innovative approach combining speakers with perfectly matched power amplifiers in one unit for a sound that is “Uncontained” in every way
  • Buffered output allows daisy chaining of additional PowerCabs for as much power as you need and provides “DI” output
  • Never worry about speaker impedance, power rating or phase
  • More power means more headroom, greater dynamic range and better transient response
  • The PowerCabs provide uncolored tone that does not “box you in”
  • Connect “active” instruments directly
  • Create your own sound with the pre-amplifier, processor or pedals of your choice
  • Extremely versatile input stage compatible with mono, stereo and balanced signals
  • MOSFET power output stage for reliability and warm tone
  • Rugged roadworthy construction
  • Top grade AA Baltic birch plywood
  • Proudly designed and hand made in the USA with nothing but the finest quality components throughout

All the above features give you the following benefits:

Power
Daisy chain as many of Uncontained Sound's PowerCabs together as you want, for as much power as you need, without ever worrying about the impedance of your cabinets, or whether to connect them in series or parallel, or even if your amplifier is powerful enough. Now the power amplifier is in the cabinet, so all you need is the instrument preamplifier of your choice and you are ready, just plug in and go.

Clarity
Now you can get the clarity on stage that you’ve previously only found in the studio. We have designed our power amplifiers with one thing in mind – clarity. In the studio you can find the sound you want easily by patching into any number of high end instrument preamplifiers, compressors and equalizers and now you can do the same on stage, and the power amp in the PowerCab line will faithfully reproduce that tone through your cabinet without adding its own color to the signal, and at no point will the power amplifier be overdriven giving you more headroom than you ever thought possible. So what you put in is what you get out. The cabinets are also built like a good instrument to help bring out all the nuances of your sound, and voiced perfectly through size and porting to produce just the right tone.

Flexibility
Now the musician can select and setup their sound the same way they would in a high end studio. For example, they could decide that they like the sound of a Manley Pre run through a Pultec EQ, then through a Universal Audio Compressor, and then through whatever effects they like, or they could use a dbx 376 Vacuum Tube Channel Strip with built in compressor and parametric EQ. Alternatively, they may prefer the flexibility provided by a Line6 POD X3 Live or a Boss GT-Pro all in one unit. Maybe they decide that they like the Line6 POD X3 Live on one song, the Boss on another, and the studio setup on yet another...now the choice is all their’s. By combining different cabinets (e.g. a BP610 and a BP215), the musician can tailor the sound, obtaining a blend between the characteristics of different speakers. Another facet of the flexibility of the PowerCab line is its modular design, allowing us to quickly design custom cabinets at the customer’s request, thereby providing the musician with the cabinet to compliment their playing style and instrument.

Simplicity
Connect your active instrument directly to a PowerCab or add an instrument preamplifier between the instrument and a PowerCab to clearly reproduce the tones you have been wanting to create with your instrument of choice. Any additions beyond that are up to you, and will only add color to your sonic pallet. Simply put, we design amplifiers that are simple to use and easy to work with so that you can concentrate on the music rather than the technical issues.

Reliability
Made from nothing but the best mechanical and electronic components, the PowerCabs are built to take anything you dish out for years, and continue to out perform the competition. Firstly we have started with only the finest grade AA plywood, while other manufacturers settle for a lower grade such as B, C or D. These lower grade plywoods have voids or patches, which will crack and break over time, and most notably these voids also allow for inconsistencies in the overall sound emanating from the cabinet. Our cabinets are covered with only the highest quality fabric backed vinyl, and top notch handles and corner pieces. The speakers are of the highest class, manufactured by Eminence Speakers LLC, and all of the electronic components are professional grade, selected for their high performance and reliability. All this adds up to a quality product that you will be proud to own year after year.
