Bio
This music is all about the times we live in. Are you having a hard time accepting the wars, the economy, the crass behavior of our leaders, the absence of human kindness in the world? The only real answer to the only real question is: "We gotta love this world". Sometime soon somebody's gotta drop the love bomb... "Madison band Underculture is pretty stubborn about playing it old-school, stripping punk-rock and psychobilly sounds down to spare parts under bassist Blair Clark's mean, motor-oil-gargling vocals. Basic as it seems, the band's sound on its self-titled 2008 EP filled a little gap in Madison's musical needs. The trio follows it with the album Ice Cream Socialism, a beyond-blunt political rant-a-thon. You wouldn't accuse their lyrics of getting all caught up in fancy poetry, either: "Blood Off My Hands" begins with the line "The President woke up in a pool of blood..." and "An Apology" laments Mexico's decline into "a colony of the good ol' USA." Just like the sound, it's simple, but sure as shit drives the point home." - Scott Gordon, The Onion .. ........ -

Another great one last night! Rockinfrickinawesome.
hey fellas, great set last night in rockford. thanks for coming. the cd is fantastic and thanks for the stickers!
Thanks for the add!! Looking forward to the cd release! If you get a chance feel free to take a listen to some of our tunes...like you guys we think we have a lot of influences in our music. We are just starting out, but in time we could really see ourselves playing with a band like yours someday!
Alright guys, I have a lot to say about this new album, so get ready. First, congratu-fucking-lations. Jim- the guitar work got way groovier. Nate- I'm loving your vocal action. Blair- every hair on my body stood on end the first time I listened to Ice Cream Socialism. Everybody's talents were showcased incredibly on the album, and I love how well rounded it is. I nearly cried listening to Vote! and was jumping on my bed rocking out to Blood Off My Hands. Great fucking job guys. Thanks for making good music.
hi guys! hope all is well, glad to see you've got a CD coming out soon!!! we're playing at The Frequency this Sunday. it'd be great to see you guys, if you can make it out!
