Life is all about Underdogs. The unsung heroes. Those who make things happen.
These five lads from Lancashire have been diligently treading the boards of the pubs and clubs of their native north west, but the stage is set for something much bigger.
2009 has been a busy year for the band, having worked with producer Sean Genockey (Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Starsailor) on the self-release of their debut single 'Angel On Your Shoulder', available now on iTunes and Amazon.
They’ve played with some well-known faces too. Recent outings have seen the lads support indie favourites The Twang, The Futureheads and Twisted Wheel, plus they have upcoming dates with Sunshine Underground and The Rumble Strips. The band have also received a host of plaudits from those in the know, including BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson and Xfm's Clint Boon who named their 'Stop To Think' demo as his record of the week.
On stage, you’ll hear infectious guitar hooks which give way to the kind of catchy, sing-along choruses you just can’t help but get involved with. Front man Philip Moss whisks up a frenzy, with antics that combine the theatre of Morrissey with the raw energy and mischief of a young Johnny Rotten.
Underdogs will be coming to a town near you soon, or if you’re in the area why not drop into their monthly club night ‘The English Gentleman’s Drinking Club’, at regular stomping ground the Mad Ferret, Preston.
Hiya, Im good thx hope the same for ya? I can say it's hard to choose between them, well i think i prefer I see Eclipses and the Blue Light, but all are really good! Cheers, hope i will see you one day in a gig! ;)
