(Producer, Actor, Fight & Action Co-ordinator)
After 20 years of teaching Kung Fu, Mark turned to acting and film production
in the late 90’s and has had the immense privilege of working with Jackie Chan

In an increasingly voyeuristic and oppressive
society, a new form of reality entertainment is sweeping the
country. Taking place in undisclosed locations across the
country, filmed and streamed over the internet and watched
by a select live audience. Some take part for entertainment,
some for the chance of a better life... underground, no hold
barred, prize fighting.
This is reality entertainment to the extreme.
In the UK suburbs, an underground tournament is set to challenge
twelve fighters from different backgrounds to compete for
the prize of £500,000. They have been handpicked for
a no-holds barred competition that will push each fighter
to their limit.
Each fighter has their own reason for competing, and each
will give everything they've got to take the prize...
...but there can be only one winner.
Mark has recently been released from
prison after serving a brief sentence for GBH after
finding his now ex-wife in bed with another man.
He has been living rough since his release, unable
to find employment.
A former street fighter, he prefers to keep to himself.
He is competing in an effort to regain some of his
former life.
Nathan, an ex-convict and former nightclub bouncer,
was recently released from prison after serving a 6-year
sentence for manslaughter, following an altercation
with a drinker.
Recently found God, now married with a daughter, Nathan
is competing in the tournament to make a better life
for his family.
Beau, a tough street-wise individual. He has no
family and doesn’t trust people easily. A self taught
martial artist with particular proficiency in Gung
Fu and Capoeira.
Arrogant and supremely confident, he’s here for the
money and determined to prove himself and show he can
compete with the best.
Joey, an arrogant and supremely confident character,
whose highly proficient martial arts skills have earned
him a place in the tournament.
He is in no doubt that he can win, and is not shy
about reminding the other competitors that he is the
best.
Zara teaches in a young offenders institute, where
her kickboxing and Taekwondo skills have often come
in use when dealing with disruptive pupils.
She has a few financial issues she can’t deal with.
Well aware the odds are stacked against her, she is
quietly confident that her speed and agility will give
her the edge against her male counterparts.
Liang is a superbly skilled martial artist, whose
main discipline is Wushu. Also highly
competent with weapons, including the sword and 3-section
staff, he is fast, agile and very focused.
Close to his parents, he has strong family values.
He hopes to win the tournament to provide them with
a better life.
Father Salvage, the Priest, an ex-street fighter
who turned to religion for a more peaceful life.
The tournament is an opportunity for him to raise
some much needed funds
for a homeless shelter.
A high ranking member of the Triads, whose uncle
heads up the organisition.
A highly skilled, martial artist from the Far East,
Leon is ruthless in equal measure in his approach to
business and fighting, although his financial skills
leave something to be desired. His rising debts have
lead to his need to compete in the ‘Underground’ tournament.
Corporal Smith recently went AWOL from his unit
after striking down his commanding officer. He has
a history of violent behaviour. Unpredictable,
aggressive and determined, he’s a fierce competitor who
will stop at nothing to win.
He is determined to prove he can compete with some
of the country‘s finest martial arts talent. Money
or no money, he’d still be competing.
William is a respected and highly skilled martial
arts instructor. He is a family man, married with a
young daughter, and has strong moral principles.
He is competing in the tournament to prove he is the
best and to gain a better life for his family. He is
highly motivated and very confident in his abilities.
Scott is the youngest fighter in the tournament
and feels he has something to prove. A fast, agile
and skilful fighter, he is a tough competitor and highly
determined.
Trained by his father, he comes from a strict background.
Scott will prove a tough match for any competitor.
Underground is now available to buy in the followong countries.
