| About Underground Music |
Underground Music was born in 1992 out of a frustration of lack of Hard Edge Dance music in the shops. UM first appeared at the club "Knowledge" in London. Supplying DJs like Loftgroover, Colin Dale, T23 and many more visiting DJs to the club. In 1995 the first label from UM appeared called "Born To Kill". This was primarily an output for Suicide Squads tracks. But the 2nd release by Traffik was a real coup for the label! Labels like Mask, Global Terror & X-core soon followed. Towards the end of the millenium labels like Corrupt, Sensory Violation, Rebelscum started to appear in the UM catalogue. Now UM is responsable for most of the label in the Industrial hardcore scene. Now the home for labels like Deathchant, Distort, Stroid, Bloodshed Unlimited, Black Monolith, Hardcore Crossbreed, Audiovoid, Mashup Records, Hong Kong Violence, Pendeho, Apocalypse Recordings, and many more. 2007 kicks off big style with the appearance of 2 new labels from UM. Cheeze Graterz, run by DJ Hektek, and Audio Damage, run by Jay Autopsy & DJ Tugie. More new labels are planned for 2007 as well as loads more releases on the host of UM labels already here! Its gonna be a good one!
